Rakshit's pov
Thank goodness she is no more mad at me. I was feeling so guilty when she explained me the situation in which my mom and Riva or even her could suffer, it was really stupid of me... really unlike me. Anyways I am grateful to Samaira as she didn't let out a word about me being Kiara Advani and the act we both were doing this could have embarrassed me more.
So, currently we are in the banquet hall having our dinner as the ring ceremony just ended.
Suddenly some romantic music starts and the host who is my boss takes the mic in his hands.
No...no...no... Someone please help us save us from this about to start noise pollution.
He has a really hoarse voice and when he will speak through mic life will seem like a sin.
"I RaviShankar Singh...am grateful to all of you came to our event as a part of my family, friends and colleagues. Now, I would like all the couples to join the dancing floor for couple dance"
Oh...he would dance too? Let's leave. My boss is fifty year oldman...and he is a healthy man...and when I say healthy I am not kidding.
You know what I mean. And if he is going to dance...I would have a hard time controlling my laugh and it would not be possible as Rohan is sitting with me and commenting with his sense of humor.
"Um...let's leave" I told Drishti and she nodded I could feel she was also uncomfortable.
"Wait what? Why would you do that? Come on Rakshit. Just because I dance well than you...you just can't leave being afraid of the competition.... come on don't be a coward" Rohan rolled his eyes at me.
What does he think he is? Can I get bhurjkhalifa for ten minutes I would like to push some one from that... really badly.
I was just about to say something really not good for him when someone cleard his throat.
My boss....here comes the overdramatic man.
" Rakshit dear... won't you introduce me to your beautiful wife?" I plastered the sweetest smile on my face and nodded.
"Drishti ..this is Mr Singh my boss and sir, this is Drishti my wife"
They shook hands.
"You both make a beautiful pair. May God fullfill all your due wishes, dear. I must tell you Drishti I know your husband since he was twenty....as he joined my office at that young age and since then he is with me but he has never given me any chance to complain...he is really hardworking man and has suffered a lot I hope you will give him all your love and support." I was shocked at his praising words for me. Drishti looked at me feeling awkward at what to reply but then she managed to nodd and reply.
"Thank you sir... your blessings means a lot." Drishti replied.
He just nodded then asked us to join the dance floor...I denied at first but you can't deny more to your boss right...so we both ended up on dance floor.
Now what next...I have never done this couple dance thing and god knows how awkward I feel right now.
" It is awkward for me aswell" Drishti smirked. Yes...she smirked and she looked so bold with that expression.
"Did I say that aloud?" I asked and she replied with a yes.
And again that romantic music of "perfect" makes things awkward.
"Umm...let's play twenty questions?"
She asked me with hopefull eyes it was her idea to kill awkwardness and I agreed.
"Okay...I will ask first. What's your favourite food?" She asked.
We swinged along the music while talking.
"Umm...it would be paneer and biryani....you?"
"Chinese is my most favourite and many other things I think I would like every thing than something bitter... your turn"
"You are foody I got it. Okay your favourite place?"
"Seashores and yours?" she asked.
"I too am fond of seashores, really love the peaceful environment there."
"So.. your favourite colour?" she asked according to turns.
"Umm....I don't have any favourite colour....I mean whatever suits the occasion...yours?"
"Lavender....but how come you don't have a favorite colour every has a favorite colour....we are changing this...I will find out your favourite colour" she stated dedication visible in her eyes.
We took a round and the her back was facing me and we swinged along with the music. I bend down to her ears.
"Well...you have the right. You can do it" I whispered...she looked at me and I could see her blushing.
Then to again change the awkwardness we continued our game with asking each other about our favourite festival, movie, song,etc..etc.
"So... your favourite hobby?" I asked
"I don't do hobbies....I lost interest when I was twenty...then was never free to think of it" I couldn't deciphere what she was thinking but it made her sad for sure.
"Well we are changing that" I confirmed and smiled.
"No..no. I am fine being like this and I don't think I will ever know what I like the most as in hobbies." she insisted me not to think about it but I didn't budge.
"We are changing that too" I smirked.
"What?"
"Your thinking that you won't be able to find out your hobbies...I will be there with you and you will find out one day I am sure." I gave her a guarantee smile and she shook her head and laughed.
"Hey...what's your hobby?"
"Playing guitar_
"With Rohan Singing in background...I know" she interrupted and laughed at me.
"Very funny Mrs Shergill...but I was going to say...I like playing guitar, riding motorbike and on top of that I would really like flirting with beautiful women"
She narrowed her eyes at me...and suddenly I feel her digging hole under my shoes through her heels.
"I am afraid Mr Shergill...that I won't be able to allow that" she clenched her teeth and I laughed.
"Really, why would a husband need your permission to flirt with his wife?" and she stopped pulling that stunt.
"What? You were talking about me?" she asked with confusion.
"Yes...of course! I was just kidding" I confessed to make her feel relieved.
"Then you are safe Mr Shergill...lucky you" she rolled her eyes at me clearly irritated by my act.
We could hear people clapping around us and as we looked towards the sound...we saw that we were the only one standing on the dance floor.
When did the others left?
"I wonder the same" Drishti answered...shit again I spoke aloud.
"Hey....Mr gills" I heard the voice I never wanted to....the most annoying, insensible, cunning, pervert.... everything that comes in category of bad was him.
Charlie Lestrad, my colleague.
"Don't move from my side and don't reply to him" I whispered in her ears she looked confused but nodded and I immediately wrapped my hand around her waist.
Not this time...I won't let him win or hurt me again. I am capable of fighting this time.
Thanks for being patient with me...I will try my best to be regular. Please vote and comment.
Happy reading 😊
