Drishti

Sam went home just now after knowing how I ended up saying yes.... I thought she will kill me for this but no she is making me jealous of him.... as he has more persuasive skills than me.
God!! Now she is going to tease me for this saying "you no more are expert in persuation... Drop it".
I kept my phone on charging when realisation dawn onto me. I haven't informed dad. Oh No!

I took my phone and dialled his number... but it didn't connect. Then I texted Jiya because I did'nt want to talk to her in front of Mrs Sharma not even on phone so I texted her to know about Dad's whereabouts and she replied that Dad isn't home since that fight. He informed her that he will be back soon.

Why didn't he call me? Is he upset with me? Maybe because I didn't tell him this... earlier?

I experienced a sinking feeling in my heart... No matter how much strong I am my Dad matters to me the most and then Jiya.

My cell buzzed and it was Rakshit. I received the call.

"Hey! I hope I didn't disturb you?" he sounded desperate much.

"Now what happened? You sound stressed." I asked to kill my curiosity.

"Um... I was so excited that I forgot" he said nervously.

"What is it? go on" I tried to calm him down.

Already being a wife... Aren't you? my conscience mocked me and I rolled my eyes.

"I... I forgot that... I should talk to your father about us" he completed.
My eyes went wide for a moment... then I realized one thing that he is a man of words and responsibility. He wants everything to be rightly done. I should be the one to tell him that he is supposed to ask my father but no.. here he is being generous.
I smiled a little seeing his little efforts.

"Drishti... Are you there?"

"Yeah! my father is not here. We can talk to him once he is back."

"Are you sure he would not be angry if we get married in his absence?"

"Of course he will be angry... but his cell phone is also not reachable right now...So I can't help it."

"Then what are we going to do? Your mother... "

"No need to tell her... She is not needed.... and dad, he will be angry as well but you have very fine persuasive skills... So once he his back you can handle him. Right?"

"Huh...yeah I...I will try what else can I do?" he shuttered badly.
and I laughed hard.

"You are making fun of me.. seriously?"

"Noo... Of course you have good persuasive skills. I laughed because you sounded so terrified." I giggled again.

"Yeah! very funny. You girls don't know how hard it is to convince a father. We boys could never convince our own father and now I have to convince your father... It's a death trap" he whined.

"Then... Back off" I said challenging him.

"NO.... I will do anything for our marriage"

My heart fluttered the time he said our marriage.

"Yeah.... I can understand you love your angel and your mother so much that you can do anything for them."

"That doesn't mean I hate you... I know it might sound strange but I promise you that I will make you laugh even on worst days of your life" he said firmly. My heart danced hearing this...which no one told me...ever.

"I know.." I blurted out.

"You started trusting me?already" he said mischievously.

"Though a little bit... but yes."I agreed... he is too convincing.

"That's an achievement for me. Um...Drishti one more thing"

"Yeah...say"

"Please don't take it as a deal... you can take it as an arrange marriage."

"Arrange marr... marriage"

"Yes... It's just that here instead of our parents we are shipping each other to ourselves" and he let out a laugh.

I started laughing too.

"Well... That's new" I said shyly.

"Yes... a new trend.. which will begin through our journey."

and the word our sounded peaceful to me like nothing ever did.

"Yeah... now you should take rest. Good night"

"Oh.. Yeah. Good night" he replied and hung up.

Morning murmered in and Sam came running to my room. She very well new that I don't have anything special to wear on my so-called court marriage hence she brought me a red anarkali. I insteadly liked it and dressed up.

"It's time to leave" Sam informed and I tried to be normal.
Soon we were all standing together. Rakshit was in a dark blue suit perfectly hugging his body... Yeah! I have to admit it...that he is handsome.
The time came for signatures. Rakshit signed it happily and Rohan started to hoot for which he got a dangerous look from my almost husband.
Then it was my turn and I stared at my name Drishti Sharma to be Drishti Rakshit Shergill. I gave a glance at Rakshit's direction and he smiled at me assuringly. That's it. I signed. Sam took me in a bear hug.
While Rakshit asked Rohan to bring my luggage from hotel to his home. He agreed and then Sam too left congratulating us.... leaving me and my husband alone.

"Let's go to orphanage first and then we will lead towards home taking her along with us." he said and I nodded.

We didn't exchange a word in our ride to orphanage as I can sense he was trying to make me feel comfortable. That's nice though...
As we reached the orphanage Rakshit literally ran inside the office.

"Mr bansal! " He gave him a hug. Happiness reflecting on his face clearly.

"Finally! you can take her and the custody is yours" the man named Mr Bansal replied.

"Give me the papers I need to sign" Rakshit said hastily.

Soon the papers were signed and he sighed deeply and slowly came towards me. He holded my hand in his firm grip, interlocking it with his.

"Let's see her" I smiled at him and nodded.

The minute we reached the playground a little girl came running in our direction screaming...

"Mamu I missed you so much"
