Alexandra Stark's Mansion Malibu, California
February 12th
In the darkened bedroom the naked pair lay under the disheveled sheets, Alexandra stared up at the ceiling just before quietly getting out of bed. Grabbing a pair of shorts and tank top she made her way to the nearest shower; her mind had woken, and it was almost impossible to return to sleep without a few heavy drinks and it was much too early for that.
Silently walking back into the bedroom, she began picking up the clothes that had been scattered along the floor. She began heading down to the lab only stopping to drop the clothing in a basket and grabbing a cup of coffee that had been waiting for her.
She set herself up on the wheel of the 1930's hot rod and began pulling the engine block apart, by this time the action was almost habit. Alexandra remembered when she first built this engine, she was six working in her father's lab.
Alexandra found it hard to remember a time when her father was actually at home. Howard spent more time looking for Captain America than with her, she didn't know the exact extent when she was younger but as she got older it was more evident that Howard was obsessed with Captain America. Hearing the stories from her Aunt Peggy were enough but to constantly hear it from her father had really put a damper on any family gatherings.
Alexandra used to like Captain America, when she was a child, she had his cards, comic books and even a stuffed bear. But as she grew her father would subtly compare her to the man hell, he would compare everyone to the man, and maybe Howard hadn't meant it in offence that's how Alexandra took it.
Every time she got hurt, he would remind her that Rogers would take it with pride that he wouldn't let a broken arm stop him. The constant reminders had caused Alexandra to pull away from her Captain America 'Fangirl' the only one who seemed to understand her reservations about the 'Star Spangled Man' was her mother.
Maria Stark never saw what the fuss was about, sure he was a successful experiment, and he became incredibly strong but to her nearly every man was risking his life to fight in the war, so Rogers wasn't as special to her. In fact when she learned about his distancing after Barnes's death she disliked him more, as far as Maria was concerned Rogers had a responsibility and giving up because of one death was selfish.
Howard was borderline obsessed with Captain America, so much so that he named his first child after him, then his second shared a name with the legend as well. Only one of the Stark children was spared from the obsession of Captain America, her older brother Anthony, unfortunately he didn't get a chance at life.
Alexandra not only grew up with the stories, but her father was gone for her birth to search for the legendary man, a fact that she had only learned years later but she was still upset about that. Logically she knew that they couldn't have predicted that she would be born prematurely but she was upset that her father left her 7-month pregnant mother.
While Alexandra stewed over the man she grew to resent, time ticked by. The sun began to rise awakening the world around it all except the blonde woman in the master bedroom darkened by special windows.
Upstairs in the still dark bedroom Christine lay on her stomach, with only a sheet covering her naked body. The clock on the table stand changed from 5:59 to 6 A.M, this change seemed to have triggered altercations to the bedroom.
The television flickered to life startling the woman as the windows became translucent letting the sunlight illuminate the room. She slipped out of the bed wrapping the silk sheets around her and went to the window taking in the magnificent view. The Stark Mansion was secluded and perched atop a cliff overlooking the ocean.
