I'm running through the woods, shouts and gunshots behind me. Footsteps pound on the ground.

Their going to get me. Their going to kill me. oh god.

A get pushed onto the floor and a shape sits on my chest locking me in place.

"Aww it's so sweet." the shape taunts at me as it twirls a knife through its fingers.

"What is?"

"You look so much like him, like Charlie, he was so sweet he just made a big mistake coming to the prison." The shape rolls off me and puts the knife by my throat.

I scream.

It puts a finger to my lips and hushes me, please god help me, I don't want I die like this.

The knife is lifted up and before I know it, it plummets towards my chest.

I scream even louder then before.

It throws it's head back and laughs while the blade makes impact with my skin, blood oozing out of my body. it leans in and I see its face. it looks familiar, with its blue eyes and brown ha-

Carl

It's Carl

Carl stabs the knife again and again and I'm screaming an-

I'm shaken awake by Maggie, I remember her name because her and the Asian guy are going out, or is he Korean I don't remember.

"Hey, you okay?" She asks concern in her voice.

"I'm fine." I say bluntly, I grab some water from a back pack the group kindly have given to me and walk away, signaling the end of the conversation.

After about an hour of sitting around and thinking about the dream, I get pushed into a van and we start towards the groups current home.

Sipping water and tapping my fingers is all I do for the first hour of the drive, Carl comes over as soon as the hour is up.

He unbuckles his seatbelt and clambers over several chairs to join me at the back.

Great.

When he finally sits down next to me, we just sit there awkwardly in silence. Carl plays with his hands while I tap my fingers. I finally break the silence.

"What do you want?" The question came out harsher then I expected.

"I was bored so I wanted to come over here." he replies, not offended by my choice of tone.

"Well are you not bored here, because I am."

"Well I know something that will stop this bordness from happening." he chuckles to himself after he has made this remark.

Bordness is that even a word?

To be honest I don't really want to be around him right now, I mean after that dream, I'm just a bit freaked out by him. Plus he never fails to irritate me.

"What is it?" I sigh, the smile still drawn across his face.

"Okay so, I have to ask you a question then you answer it and then you ask me a question."

Wow what a fun game.

"That sounds like it sucks."

He laughs again and then says "No,no it's fun, I promise you."

Well Charlie promised he would be back for me and look were I've ended up.

"Fine, I'll do it."

God this was going to be boring.

"Favorite colour?" He asks

Oh god kill me now.

"Black, what about you?"

"Blue."

I don't really know what to do next, Carl just stares at me intensely and waits for me to do something.

"What?!" I whisper shout.

"It's your turn to ask the question."

Oh so we were still playing the game.

"Favorite band?" I ask

"Sleeping with sirens, black veil brides or all time low."

Oh my god we actually had something in common.

"No way me too!" I shout with happiness, I don't care that I get a few stares from the group. it's worth it to express my feelings for the amazing bands.

Carl laughs again. Wow this guy did love to laugh didn't he?

"Favorite book series?" He says.

"The mortal instruments defiantly!" As you can tell I'm getting really into the game.

The questions go on for another two hours until we reach our destination. I hate to admit it but I actually enjoyed myself. Carls a pretty funny guy.

Don't think that way, if you make friends with him, your just lose him, just like you lost Charlie.

I wasn't planning to make friends with him, I mean how long could a friendship last when your living in a world like this?

I get out of the van and gather the supplies from the boot, Carol and a guy, I think whose name is Daryl, help me.

I put the supplies on my back and start Walking. Next stop, my new home.
