I wake up next to Carl. His arms wrapped around my shoulders and his head rest on chest, I stroke his hair gently, scared to wake him up. Noises and shouts come from downstairs and I groan. Back to reality I guess. Since last night I've been thinking, since Carl loves me so much, why is he hiding something from me? I mean I'm not hiding anything from him.

You're being stupid, he's not hiding anything from you.

Slipping away from Carls grip, I get out of the bed and put on my shirt, I button it up and start to tie my boot laces,

"Well hello there Brenda." Carl yawns and taps my ass slightly, I laugh, since I'm bent over trying to tie my laces, Brenda is right in Carls face.

"She missed you last night, didn't get any of the action." I sigh, Carl grabs my hand and pulls me back into bed with him. his ears perk up as soon as he hears the arguing downstairs, he groans. "What do you think it's about? The arguing I mean."

"Probably a supply run, I heard my dad talk about doing one last night," he sighs, there's silence and then Carl answers my question that I hadn't yet said. "No April, you are not going." I groan, this boy isn't the boss of me.

"But Carllll." I whine like a little kids he taps my nose and lifts me on top of him. He clearly seems amused by me mimicking a small child because a smile is on his face.

"No means no, baby girl," I open my mouth to speak but he grabs my face with both of his hands and his lips connect to mine, it's a small hard kiss that doesn't last that long. "I mean it, if you come the I'll spank you to teach you a lesson." My heart beats faster as soon as he says this.

"That makes me want to come even more," I smile, I get pushed off him and I land in a bunch of pillows. Carl gets up and grabs his dark blue shirt and sheriff hat, he ruffles his hair as he tries to squeeze his head into the hat, well his head fits fine it's just his hair that's stopping him.

"Well my threats should work because daddy spanks quite hard." He says tying his laces he then heads towards the door. Daddy? Is this guy for real?

"Stop trying to be kinky, it's weird."

"Yeah but I bet it turns you on." He smirks. I laugh, rolling off the pillows, I finally get out of the bed and lace my fingers around Carls. We both start to walk down the stairs, shouts emerge from the living room and Carl squeezes my hand fro reassurance. I squeeze his back and we both walk into the massacre. Rick try's to calm everyone down by separating the group but it doesn't work, Carol and Glenn both argue and the rest of the group have a go at Rick. As soon as they see Carl and me they all stop and stare at us. "What are you guys arguing about now?" Carl groans.

"We were just d-" Sasha starts, Carl cuts her off with a sharp tone,

"Listen if this is about who should do the next supply run, to save all of this arguing I'm just going to say I'll go."

"WHAT?!" Me and Rick both shout in unison, Carl try's to let go of the grip on my hand but I hold him back. Carl is not going out there, not were he could get hurt. He tugs his hand free and walks over to his dad.

"Listen dad, I'm nearly fifteen, I used to do the supply runs all the time at the church, here it's not any different." Carl says, he places a hand on his dad's shoulder for comfort. for what seems like hours, silence is all I hear, Rick finally gives a sigh signalling that he can go.

"Carl you can only go if you stay with me, Deal?"

Carl almost shouts back," Deal!" I'm not having this, after what happened last night, I want that more often. If anything happens to Carl I would never forgive myself. I stalk over to Carl and grab his hand, yanking him into the corridor.

"What the hell do you think your doing dude?" I yell, Carl just grins at me, god I want to smack that grin off his face. So I do. My hand connects with his face making a loud noice, Even when I slap him, it doesn't affect the smile still drawn on his face. "Carl please, please don't go, I don't want you getting hurt." He lifts his hand up to my face, the smile now gone and in It's place a look if affection.

"I'll be fine okay? I need to get something from the pharmacy shop were we're heading, I'll stay safe, I won't be my usual cocky self. I'll make sure I stay out of dangers way." I finally give in to his pleading and his puppy dog eyes. I fold my arms and sigh.

"Fine you can go, but if you come back harmed, I'll spank you."

"I actually want to be spanked so that doesn't help." he smirks

"Fine then, if you come back unharmed I'll spank you." I say, Carl leans in for a a forehead kiss but instead I grab his face and mercy it so mine, his hands travel down and down my spine, while my hands play his hair. We fianly, let go of each other,

"I'm looking forward to a good spanking tonight." He winks and then enters back into the living room, I follow after him.

As soon as Carls ready we both go outside and meet with the rest of the group that are doing the supply run. Carol, Sasha, Glenn, Tyreese, Michonne, Abraham, Tara and Rick all look up when we see them, I give Carl a quick kiss on the cheek hug before he goes. "you beefed be careful sheriff boy, your not invincible." I tut, the hug becomes tighter.

"I know, but I'm very close to being invincible, I'm not gonna be stupid you know, I want that spanking tonight." He smiles and let's go of me, I want him to hug me harder kiss me for longer but I know that he'll be fine. Carl walks off the porch and starts walking with the group. "I'll be back soon," he shouts, "I promise."

"You promise?" I shout back.

"I swear on my life April." And with that he turns away from me and talks to Rick.

I want to run after them and help them, but I know that Rick wants me to look after Judith and Carl wants me to be safe. Carl promised me that he will be back, Charlie also promised me the same thing and look what happened.

I know for a fact that promises mean nothing.
