I wake up to the sound of shouts and calls from the group. Throwing my shirt over my top, I run out to see what all the chaos is about.
Biters attack from all directions. Guns fire and knifes are inserted into their heads.
They drop one by one.
I pull out my knife and start to stab the ones closest to me. They groan and mumble as I push them back and kill them. More shouts and calls come from the group, but I'm to engrossed in killing them to notice. Maggie comes up beside me and starts helping me with the biters. She kills them all in one swift movement, while I stab mine in more of a child like way, while she is swift and makes no sound, I stumble most if the times and grunt with effort.
Most of the biters are gone, but some still remain. Carol and Tyreese put them out of their misery before I do.
I can't see the havoc that is happening behind the trees and I really don't want to.
But I have too.
I quickly jog over to the group, they crowd around something lying on the floor. That shape is panting and groaning, it's body shaking and sweating. A bite is placed on the side of her hand.
"BETH!" Maggie screams, she sits by her and cries into her shoulder.
I don't want to see what happens next.
Rick pulls her arm and Michonne unsheathes her sword. She lifts it above her head and then the next thing I see is it plummeting towards Beth's hand.
A scream escapes her mouth before she passes out.
I've turned away at this point. Seeing peoples hands get shopped off just isn't my thing.
Rick picks her up and walks back inside the church, most of the group follow him.
Except Daryl.
He glares at me, his eyes full of sorrow. He starts to walk towards me, but then shakes his head and walks straight by me into the church along with the others.
What a creep.
Following the crowd, I to walk back into the church, Rick wraps Beth hand in a bandage and Maggie, Glenn and Sasha all surround her, making sure her breathing is okay. There seems to be quite a lot of sadness in the room, so i enter a room that has a sofa and a table I it.
Carl sits on the table, head in his hands.
Has he been crying?
"Ar-are you okay?" I've never been good at comforting people. As you can tell.
He wipes his sleeve over his cheeks and sniffles, he then turns to face me.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine." He looks back onto the floor again.
"Are you sure because, you haven't spoken too me since yesterday and like I see that you've been crying so.."
He suddenly lashes out at me.
"IM FINE." He snaps and the pushes last me. So this was the temper I warned myself about.
"Hey." I grab his arm. He whips his head around and looks at me. "What's up with you?"
Carl doesn't answer for a while. "It's just that I-" he stops himself there. Then continues a minute later "I'm worried about Beth, that's all."
I release my grip on his hand and let him push past me.
Frowning, I perch myself on the edge of the table. I twirl my hair through my fingers and think.
Think about Charlie and how he's not here anymore. Think about where I would be if he was still here. But most of all I think about what it would of been like if I had him here with me right now.
