BETTY'S POV
It had been four hours since Jughead went out with Archie. I was used to him going out with Archie to get drinks every Friday night but I thought since we had Juliet that he would stop going and getting wasted every weekend.
I knew he wasn't gonna go home making sense so I went ahead and put Juliet to bed, hoping that when he walked in he wouldn't wake her up.
"I love you babygirl." I said kissing her forehead before laying her in her crib.
She looked at me with a big smile before closing her eyes. I shut off her lights, then grabbed the baby monitor before returning to the kitchen to clean up from the dinner I made myself.
I was almost done when I heard a knock at the apartment door. I walked to the door confused at who was knocking at 11pm. When I opened the door Jughead fell into my arms.
"Hey baby." He mumbled.
"You smell awful." I said bringing him into the apartment.
"Me and Archie, whoa we had quite the night." He smiled.
"I can tell." I said giving him a fake smile.
I brought him to our room. Once he was sitting on the bed I took off his shirt. He laid down grabbing my blanket.
"Night." I said grabbing my pillow.
He didn't say anything as I shut the door. I didn't like how he smelled when he drank so I laid down on the couch, but I couldn't sleep without his touch. Something we both knew a little too well. He couldn't leave for a week and except me to get sleep, it just didn't work like that.
I walked back into our bedroom laying on the bed. His eyes shot over to mine.
"You look so pretty Maddie." He smiled.
"Who's Maddie?" I asked.
"You silly." He chucked.
His hands move my hair behind my ear. He then grabbed my hand before going back to sleep. I knew asking him while he was drunk wasn't gonna give me a good answer, so I would wait till morning to ask him who the heck Maddie was.
After a night of no sleep and confused thoughts my alarm finally went off. I changed into a sweater and jeans before going to Juliet's room. She was wide awake. I picked her up, then sat in the rocking chair so I could give her a bottle. She was almost done when Jughead walked in.
"Where did you put the aspirin?" He asked.
"Top drawer in the kitchen." I said.
"Thanks baby." He said.
Once Juliet was done I took her out to the living room so she could lay in her rocker and I could make breakfast. Jughead was laying on the couch watching tv.
"What did I do last night?" He asked softly.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Your acting different so I had to do something while I was drunk that ticked you off." He said.
"That fact that you went and got drunk and let me here taking care of our daughter ticks me off, but you also told me last night that I was pretty, except you called me Maddie." I said.
"Oh." He said.
"Who's Maddie?" I asked.
"No one." He said quickly.
"Stop lying to me!" I yelled.
"I'm not lying!" He said.
"Yes you are, you always do!" I said.
"Maddie is just a girl me and Archie talk to at the bar, she's our main bartender on Fridays!" Jughead finally said.
"So when your drunk you call her pretty?" I asked.
"Betty I need to tell you something." He said softly.
"I don't want to hear how you've been cheating on me. I'll get me and Juliet's stuff together then we will go to my Mom's house. I can't stand to be in this apartment anymore!" I said.
"No I'll leave. I'm sorry!" He said.
"I can't be here with all these memoires. I'll leave!" I shouted picking up my baby.
I grabbed a small bag of Juliet's. After putting everything she would need I walked into my room grabbing my own clothes. Before I could walk out of the door Jughead pulled me back.
"Please let me explain." He said.
"No matter what you say I need to be with someone who actually wants me and I know deep down that's not you!" I cried.
"Please Bett's." He said.
I watched a small tear drop fall down his red cheeks.
"I need time." I said before grabbing Juliet and walking out.
