Time has passed. Norma has lived at Circle G with Vernon and Gladys since she was twelve, at age thirteen she also got a room at Graceland across the hall from Elvis (so she could spend what little time the man was home, with him)  This chapter is a somewhat crazy mess but enjoy anyway.

(1957) Elvis 22/ Norma 14

In the past few years Norma Jene grew into a beautiful young girl. Girls at her new school were rude to her after everyone discovered who she was and were she was living. (It only took about a year for the news to get out that the little orphan girl was living with Elvis Presley's parents.

Norma had at first moved into Circle G Ranch with Vernon and Gladys. Gladys loved having the young girl staying with them, Norma was like the daughter Gladys never had. Elvis's grandmother also moved into Circle G and for some odd reason Norma felt like it was her grandmothers ghost.

A few years  went on and Norma started staying at Glaceland more and more but she was closer to Elvis that way, it seemed like the man was hardly ever home, all the traveling and touring the young star had started.

Since making the big move Norma had adjusted well. She loved all the horses at both Circle G and Graceland. Thanks to Elvis, Norma got to hang around famous stars like : Jerry Lee Lewis, John Wayne and many other famous actors, singers and musicians. Young Norma only managed to make one real friend, a girl a year older named Judy Marie Garland. The child was one of five siblings, coming from a hard working family, Judy being one of the middle children worked hard at her schooling and helping her family, the child had a good heart and a strong since of right and wrong. Her father worked his way up and now the family was ' well off ' as others would say allowing the girl to start the all girls  private school at the same time as Norma, another reason the two became friends. Judys mother loved Norma and thought the friendship was one both girls needed.

Judy didn't understand why after it came out that Noma was close with the Presly family why everyone was mean to the girl, it made no scenes to the other teenager. Judy became Norma's  best friend, before she ever knew about Norma knowing Elvis Presley. Gladys put it best when she found out why Norma had been so upset lately. She held the girl close in the living room, holding the upset girl as she cried and let the woman know all the things the other kids were saying and doing to her at the school.

Poor Norma felt like no matter where she was or who she was with people were evil to her. Even back before the man was famous, people were rude to her- To them.

"They're  just jelouse of you dear." Gladys said looking into her watery eyes. "Of what? I have nothing! You should see them. They look like modles!" Norma snapped upset. "Come on now you and I both know you could- That you do look beautiful Honey." Gladys said softly, brushing the girls hair out of her face. "I wish I was different." Norma whispered, looking at her hands. Like Gladys, Judy always tried to let the girl know she was not only beautiful but smart. Norma was one of the smartest students at the school.

She was about to turn fifteen and although her body had changed- She wished she could look like the girls on TV- Or rather the girls Elvis hung around.

Every time the man was away on a tour or doing a special Norma was sick. First she missed the man, but second she was worried that the man would get a new girlfriend.

Not that Norma was his girlfriend but rather she hated any time the man had one because she wished she was his girl friend. It had been awhile since the man was in a real relationship.

When Elvis returned home he went right to Circle G and pulled his mother into a hug. "I sure missed you mama. Wheres Daddy and Norma?" The singer asked. "I got everybody some things and I can't wait to see what you think. I have some news too mama." The man said with a happy smile. "We all missed you son. Your fathers out and well- Norma wants to show you something." Gladys said happily, pulling on her son. "Well alright." Elvis followed his mother into the living room and they both sat down. Judy was smiling wide and the bottom of the steps.

"Well hello Doll." The singer said with a smile, noticing the smiling girl. "Hi Elvis." The girl muttered. "You in on whatever this is?" The twenty - two year old asked, looking from the grinning girl, to his smiling mother next to him. " Oh I think you'll like this." Gladys muttered. Judy cleared her throat before she began. "Please everyone be ready for Miss Marlyne Monroe!" Norma gulped, holding her arm just out of sight at the top of the steps. Judy and Gladys had helped the fifteen year old get a make over, she even picked a new name- Her mother's name..

"Whenever your ready Dear!" Gladys called after the teenager made no move. Norma took a breath and closed her eyes. Elvis smirked, watching for his little sister to show herself.  Judy huffed and rolled her eyes playfully.

" Hurry it up- Marlyne!" Gladys snickered. "Oh Miss Monroe!" Judy called and started up the steps slowly. Elvis sighed and turned to his mother. "What's all this about now?" He asked with a look. His mother sighed and took his hands.

"You already know." Elvis sighed himself, he looked to the steps and stood from the couch. It was time he had a real talk with her, well everyone.

"What are you so afraid of?" Judy asked leaning on the wall with her arms crossed. "Nothing!"Norma snapped. "Really? I think your afraid of Elvis- or rather what he thinks."
"Shut up!" Judy rolled her eyes at the other girl.

Elvis cleared his throat and smirked watching the girls fight in the hallway. Judy glanced at the singer, before she smiled at her friend, before she took off down the steps. "So Marlyne, can I -I get a look at you?" He asked with an odd look in his eyes. Norma wasn't sure what to think, or feel. "I- ." The girl was facing away from the man, her heart racing and body shaking.

Before the girl could say anything Gladys yelled from the kitchen that she was taking Judy home.

Elvis started down the hallway, on his way to the teenagers room. He needed to talk to her. Norma gulped, keeping her eyes on her feet. The front door was shut letting both of them know they were now all alone in the big house.

"You coming Honey?" Elvis called. He was already in the bedroom, sitting on the end of her twin sized canopy bed. Norma gulped, slowly making her way to her bedroom.

Something felt off. Norma knew in her heart this would be the moment that would change them forever. This moment would define them moving forward.

It just might not be the way the teenager had always hoped.

Updated. Sorry again about it being all over the place, it's been awhile lol.
