Chapter 9: Past pt.1

After the most awkward minute of your life consisting of the reaction of your friends seeing you almost kissing Jungkook, Jungkook looking everywhere avoiding any eye contact, officer Park rolling his eyes a few times at the situation and you blushing to death, you end it pulling your sh*t together.
"What brings you all here?" You tried to pretend to be okay when you are beyond embarrassed, Jimin cleared his throat and walk inside while the others straightened their faces and walk in as well, Jungkook get closer to you still keeping some distance though.
"So, we found the body of Cho Kiyeon dead at five fifteen after Mr. Jeon Jungkook here found hers, Kim y/n's and Jung Hoseok's unconscious bodies..." The police officers stated and you just looked down picking at your nails remembering the lifeless body of your coworker swimming in her own blood. Hoseok who were also in the room looked down feeling weak for letting this happen. Officer Park continued after short seconds.
"In Kim y/n's forearm, we found a needle with a word" he announced which makes Jungkook clench his jaw looking at the ground.
"... In which the well-known serial killer talked about an event which occurred six years ago with 'Kook, Sun, Tae and y/n'" you breathe hitched as you grab JungKook's hand eyes widened at the last sentence. Taehyung and Misun looked as frightened as you.
"No, n-no no it's impossible... No it's not possible" Taehyung stated shaking his head violently tightening his hold on Misun's hand.
"This bastard died six years ago" Misun added with an almost inaudible voice feeling as if the world was falling apart or that something were sucking her soul out of her body.
"Y/n what are they talking about?" Seokjin asked. The gun, the blood, the fire, all the children running, the police station, everything came back in your head as you tightened your grip on Jungkook's hand and on the hospital sheets, your knuckles becoming white. You look at them straight in the eyes.
"I killed him with my bare hands... He can't be alive" you stated with all the confidence you had in your body, mind and soul.
"Y/n explain us, who killed who and what happened six years ago?!" Yoongi didn't care if you were still too shocked he needed answer, Hoseok, Seokjin and Jimin too.
"Not again..." Jungkook mumbled holding your hand as tight as you do...

-Flashback-
You were playing in your room, it was past midnight and your parents still didn't came back from the restaurant. As a six years old girl, you didn't care that much but your babysitter had a bad feeling about the whole situation, she knows that your parents should have been there since almost an hour.
Twenty minutes later, the phone rings, the babysitter Ara took the call, as soon as she heard what the person on the other line said, she looked at your smiling face with pity and sadness.
Your parents died on their way home in a car accident. You were now in the hand of the system. The social worker placed you in an orphanage... It's at least what she told you back then.
The orphanage was a big mansion in the middle of nowhere, it was creepy with anything around just dust, the same social worker takes you there, she gave you a reassuring smile when you enter  the big mansion, it was simple inside, a typical rustic style, with wooden furniture and a beige color for the walls. In one of the walls, you saw a tablet with few words written on it.
'Welcome to the safe haven of your heart'
Looking at these words, you begin to believe that this place wasn't that bad. Yes, you miss your parents, yes, you miss your old house, yes, you are far from Daegu but It couldn't be that bad, you tried to convince yourself. Giving a smile back to the woman who brought you here and walking along to where she leaded you, little did you know, it was in this place that your hell begin.
Eden was the name of the man who destroyed you. This so-called  orphanage was in reality a kind of procurement, where young teenager where sold to disgusting filthy rich people, boys and girls were sent to a sort of bidding every year. You were nine when you begin to understand what was really going on in the supposed 'haven of your heart'. Eden, (or whatever his real name was) hits the children when they didn't follow the rules, rules that are more than suffocating. Everyone was obligated to stay in their rooms, make any sounds, sleep when he wants and eat when he pitied you. You were more than fifty children and every year when the chose ones left, new faces came right away. The persons sent in bidding were teenagers of fifteen, because Eden said that it was the 'best age' to be sold, as if there was a best age to be sold.
It's when you met your the persons that were going to save your life. Jungkook, Misun and Taehyung came at the same time and let's say that they had some difficulties to be adapted to their new way of life,Jungkook more than the others because he always stands for his friends which always lead him to be hit. One day, you accidentally trip on the stairs and made a loud sound, which means you broke the rule of no sounds, which also means that you were going to be punished... Hardly.
In a split second, you faced Eden who had a deadly glare on and a belt in his hand, you can't even stand because you broke your ankle. The moment he was going to hit you with his belt, a familiar voice interrupted him, you open your eyes that you closed out of fear.
"Stop, it's me who pushed her!" He quickly came to where you and Eden where and get in between the two of you, blocking the monster from trying to hurt you.
"I knew that my favorite wouldn't try anything but you..." First you gagged a bit at the first part of the sentence. I'd rather drown that to be this man's favorite! Ew. But what worried you was the look in his eyes when he directed his gaze to Jungkook who was still in front of you, protecting you with his arms in each side of you. You didn't really know what to do, save yourself or save the boy that willingly throw himself in something that he probably won't come back from.
"Come with me" he dragged the poor boy, you tried to tell something, opening your mouth but closing it again, not finding the right words. Before they left the boy turns to you and mouthed a 'I'm fine' before disappearing from your sight.
This day was the day when you became friends with him, Taehyung and Misun. The four of you always find ways to be together even when it was prohibited by the rules that Eden imposed.
In two years, you find yourself being happy again, a feeling that was foreign after six years in this hell, you don't even remember what it feels like to be free again.
One night, when you were twelve, you overheard a conversation between Eden and one of his 'associate'.
"We do the bidding tomorrow" you forgot this detail, you almost hope that he won't do it this year, but you weren't dumb, of course he was going to do it, he was crazy for money.
"Who are we going to send?" The other man asked with some curiosity. He names some people and three caught my attentions.
"...Sung Misun, Kim Taehyung and the little brat of Jeon Jungkook" he spat at the last name clearly loathing your friend. It wasn't supposed to happen, they were still fourteen , they still have one year.
"They will leave early tomorrow so prepare the van Daehyuk" he told the man and the latter nodded. He was about to leave but turn around.
"And what about Kwon y/n? I think she is ready as well" the man named Daehyuk added. The moment the words leaves his mouth your breath hitched, stuck in your lungs. What is it about you? Being ready for what? Whatever it was, you know it was no good for you.
"She stays here with me until I find a new toy... They are all used as sex slave anyways so it won't make any difference if I take my little favorite" he let a sick chuckle run out of his mouth which made you sick to the core, a sudden need to vomit made its way to your heart as breathing seem to be harder as the seconds passed by. You quickly but quietly run to the only persons that you know will have a solution but also will find a way to get you all out of this hell of place.
You run as fast as you can to their room, out of breath when you enter in and quickly close the door.
"What-" Taehyung was going to talk but you interrupted right away.
"They... Are...going... To... Send you... Tomorrow... We need...to escape" you manage to say between pants and heavy breaths, the three panicked as you told them what they will face if they didn't manage to escape tonight.
"We need to get out of there right now" Jungkook blurted thinking deeply not glancing at any of you.
"By we, I mean everyone"...
