Chapter 13: Suspects

"Do you perhaps have any idea of who it could be?" Jimin asked you his notebook in hands along with a pencil ready to note everything you will say. You were thankful that someone finally show up, you were damn bored looming at the ceiling, plus your friends forgot your charger.
"No, I really tried, there's not many people except the forty five of us, the policemen and now my friends and you" you really tried to figure out who could be the killer, you didn't think that it's one of those who escaped, what the use. Eden is for sure dead and even if some people in your school don't like you, anyone there knows about what happened to you.
"Do you know where can be those who were already sent?" Jimin asked again not really expecting you to know but you may have  seen one of them.
"No... And I'm sure that half of them committed suicide by now or were killed... Thy saw and lived things that are unspeakable... I wouldn't be surprised if they became insane" you answered truthfully, let's say that Eden always made sure to make this kids suffer more everyday and in every way, mostly in a sexual way.
"What do you mean by unspeakable?" He asked with some curiosity, you look at him with this numbness in your eyes that can mean a lot of things.
"For starter, the day of the bidding, Eden make sure to have a taste of everyone, boys and girl, those who were virgin were the one who suffer the much... He will go even rougher just to hear their screams and plead. Some of them were already raped by him before for some 'errors' that they committed..." You paused feeling that you want to throw up just by thinking of all the things Eden did when he was alive.
"... But the worst part is that, he made sure he had an audience doing this" Jimin tried to cover his disgust but failed miserably, he was horrified that someone like that even existed, he asked himself if this man (if he even call him that) even had a conscience.
Jimin, who was usually against any kind of violence found himself wishing that he was the one killing Eden instead of you.
You remark his knuckles turning white and you understand by the look on his face that he has hatred towards this monster of Eden.
"It's why I told you I will never regret what I've done. If I haven't done it, who knows what would have happened..." Sometimes you had some guilt about killing someone, your family being Christian doesn't help to ease your heart at these precise time; but when you see Jimin's reaction right now and  think of would have happened, you see that it was worth it and that you shouldn't feel any guilt.
"Yes, even if I hate violence, I understand your act. I would have done the same for my love ones" he added with a nod staring at the blank as if he was in deep thoughts.
"Are you sure you can trust your friends?" He asked after a moment making you look at him with wide eyes.
"Of course yes, Jungkook, Misun or Taehyung won't never do such a thing!" You exclaimed with some harshness as your anger express itself towards the policeman who you considered crazy for even thinking of that.
"They were the one who insisted to save everyone, why would they kill them afterwards?!" You were in your defensive mode when it comes to people you love and more when it involves your past. Jimin wasn't that fazed he knew you would react like that.
"And your other friends?" He referred to Seokjin, Yoongi and Hoseok.
"Don't try to accuse us if you can't find anything. Seokjin would never hurt his sister, Yoongi wouldn't never dare to even hurt someone he loves and Kiyeon was Hoseok's friend!" You practically shouted infuriated by the policeman's accusation. Your friends may have a lot of flaws but they aren't killers, they can't even hurt a fly... Literally Seokjin and Hoseok are scared of all and nothing.
"It's a possibility... You never know" does he really try to make me doubt? You scoffed at this.
"But I understand your point of view,... It's my job though even if I don't believe it I have to look at all the possibilities" he added which makes you calm down a bit, it's his job after all.
"For now tell your friends to be careful if my assumptions are right, any of you is safe from danger" he stated standing from the chair he was sitting on a few moments ago.
"Thereupon,... Goodbye and be careful"he trailed off before leaving you, after you nodded and mumble a small 'bye'. Even if you hate to admit it, you find yourself wondering if one of your friend can be the killer.
First it had to be a man, the supposed doctor was a man and the person who held me was too strong to be a woman (not that I thought women are weak don't get me wrong). Seokjin? No, like I said he won't never try to hurt his sister. Yoongi? No he was with Seokjin when the killer tried to kill Jieun the second time. Hoseok? No, he really liked Kiyeon (as an employee and friend), plus he was found unconscious he couldn't have drugged himself. Taehyung? He didn't even knew how you look like before the night you stayed at his. Then... Jungkook? No,first because he is Jungkook and he was the one who saved you, he wasn't in the coffee shop...

You were in a trance of thoughts that you didn't even remark the people who were in your room.
"Y/n?" No answer, you were completely zoning out trying to figure out who is capable of doing this, you know the person that's clear and he knows you too, very well in fact. So who?...
"Bun bun?" And this time you look up at the nickname that you haven't heard in years.
"I knew it" Taehyung laughed lightly at you. You rolled your eyes before giggling at him which make Misun and Jungkook chuckle as well.
"Yeah sure Alien" you replied at the young man which make him giggle more. Creating nicknames for each other was one of the rare moments which were somehow happy back to the orphanage. These moments when you momentarily forget where you were and what was happening around you, and more than anything, you need it now.
"These nicknames are ridiculous" Misun exclaimed through giggles, which cause Jungkook to look at her a bit offended.
"What is ridiculous with Sun? I create this nickname" he huffed like a kid, pouting afterwards, which makes Misun, Taehyung  and you to laugh loudly.
"Yeah it's better than Bunny boy I agree" Misun added addressing her words to the sulking Jungkook. The latter break in laughter as well joining the three of you.
On the other side of the room, Seokjin and Yoongi feel as if they were the third wheels of a group of best friends. They thought that you didn't remark them before you brought them in the conversation.
"The worst is to be called Lil meow meow and Mama" you laughed louder at the mention of the nicknames of your other two best friends. They look up at your sparkling eyes and your bunny smile. They thought you forgot them but it was far from the truth, even if your old friends are here you won't never set them aside, they are part of your family as well.
"Yah, Kwon y/n you promised you won't never tell that to anyone!" Yoongi scoffed trying to dramatically show you how outraged he is while in fact he was amused.

And like that you spend all the night together, once in a while Seokjin will check on his sister of course, but all of them stayed until you fell asleep. They left a few after eleven leaving you sound asleep in a deep slumber, your medicine making you feel sleepy as soon as your organism ingest them.
But what your friends didn't know, leaving you was a huge mistake...
