Chapter 10: Past pt. 2

-Continuing from the flashback-
"How are we going to do that?" Misun asked Jungkook whom she considered as crazy to even think they can achieve that. He was courageous, yes, but this is mission impossible.
"Tae, you know the gas we saw last week in one of the room downstairs?" Jungkook tried to make his friend remember what they discovered while exploring the house last week when they manage to get out of the room without Eden noticing. The latter nodded at the question.
"Spread it in as much room as you can... And bring your briquet with you. I know too well we can't escape without some diversion so we are going to burn this mansion..." He stated with some unreadable expression on his face. One that even his best friends cannot decipher at all.
"Do you think Eden is gonna just watch us burn the mansion and keep still?" Taehyung literally deadpanned at the plan Jungkook just exposed the three other people in the big room, you inside. You weren't going to watch this monster of Eden take your friends away from you or any other teenager who don't even deserved what happened to them, so you take an initiative, a dangerous one but it's worth it.
"I'm going to distract him, you make everyone get out and set this building on fire" you stated more than serious, motivated by anger and hatred towards the man who stole your childhood and happiness away from you and made your life a living nightmare.
But Jungkook wasn't also going to let you risk your life, he loves you Kore than himself or anything else in this world, and losing you wasn't part of his plan and will never be part of it.
"No... You are going to stay away from this so-called human being, I won't risk to lose you" Jungkook brought his hands on your shoulders holding tightly on it, showing disagreement on this part of the plan. You sighed loudly and look away from his teary eyes, you weren't gonna drop it even for him, who you considered like the most important person in your life.
"Please" he trailed off with such desperation that you almost gave up the idea, but you know it was the best option right now.
"Jungkook... Kook, I'm somehow his kind of... Favorite here..." you cringe as soon as the words you pronounced hit your eardrums, and you saw the same expression on Jungkook's face which confirm that it wasn't a good fact.
"... So I'm the most apt to... Distract him" you stated the truth here and even if he strongly disagree with you being the sacrificed one here, he knew too well it was the truth.
"Do you even have a plan y/n?" Misun who watched the scene before her with a lot of concern finally spoke up after exchanging some stares with the also worried Taehyung.
"Yes I have one" you said with confidence , trusting yourself on your plan." So go and take everyone to the door... I promise I will come back with the door's keys" you held your pinky to Jungkook, who growled annoyed, before linking it with his on sealing your promise.
And that's how you made your plan. You know that Eden was in his office where you saw him earlier and where he spend most of his time while he isn't hitting someone or yelling at one of you here. You hope that the Daehyuk guy from earlier left so it can be easier for you.
You take a deep breath before knocking his office's door with your now white knuckle. A smug smirk was seen as he opened the door for you and you almost gag disgusted by the man in front of you, if you still can even call him a man or human being at all.
"What brings you here baby girl ?"you cringe internally at the pet name he gave you just a few milliseconds ago before clearing your throat. You enter the not so big room and sat on the chair on the opposite of his side of the desk where he sat. You immediately remark the gun on the table and made up your mind. If I wanna get out and stop him... This is the only way. Killed or to be killed is one of the fundamental rule to survive and you know it.
You clear your throat before speaking lightly changing the tone of your voice to make it more high pitched.  God save me...  You prayed before talking.
"When am I going to leave like the others?" You asked and fight the urge to cringe again as you heard the sound of your voice. It was quite displeasing to not say horrible.
"Oh, baby... Do you wanna leave?" Ew was the word that can describe your feelings right now. However, you shake your head no.
"I like it in here, you are nice to me" you try to act all shy and... Flirty to make the whole plan work, which you successfully achieved when you saw the evil grin on the man's face.
"Really? You like it?" He asked you standing and slowly approaching you standing from his chair to kneel near you, you try to not make your fear obvious as he tuck a strand of your hair behind your ear.
"Tell me princess... Do you wanna make me happy?" He whispered in a low tone that made you wanna throw up but you have to reach for this gun at any cost.
"What should I do?" You asked facing him with the most fake smile you can manage to put on. The moment he turn away from you, making you out of his sight when he face the opposite direction, you take the gun and aim it at him.
The moment he face you again, he stares at you for few seconds before chuckling softly, which made you tighten your grip on the weapon with both of your shaky hand.
"You will never able to do it" he deadpanned with some amusement glistening in his eyes, this act of his made the hatred you had for him grow even more.
"You know why? Because... You are too innocent for that. It will change you if you push in the trigger,... You will be like me a bad person" he knew what words to say to convince you, he knew who to use them and when to use them but this time you are not controlled by your heart or brain but by two feelings, hatred and love. Hatred towards the one who destroyed you and love for the person you considered more important than yourself.
He walk one step closer to you with a smirk, a sick one.
"Don't try me" you said calmly... Too calmly.
"Kill me if you can" he stated not believing you will do such a thing but he was wrong terribly and he gets to see it as his last sight when the bullet goes directly to his heart killing him in less than two minutes. You didn't even flinch when his body fell on the floor with blood dripping the ground, you were numb, you killed him...
A few seconds after collecting your thoughts, you quickly grab the keys that hang on his hips, you don't even spare his wide opened eyes a glance as you jog downstairs meeting near forty five other children from six to fourteen years old.
"I have the keys let's go" you stated at the little crowd.
"How'd you do?" Taehyung asked with some concern and worry laced in his voice, staring deeply at your eyes trying to read your mind.
"Whatever happened in there stays there" you answered with some harshness that you didn't know you had. He just mumbled a 'okay' to reply and didn't go farther, Jungkook and Misun looked at you worried as they heard the little encounter between you and Taehyung.
"Let's go before someone remark us" Jungkook came back to earth after a minute, everyone ran to the door, you quickly opened it with the set of keys, they all get out as Taehyung was the last one, he light on the little briquet and threw it to the ground making the ground to lit up as well.
Soon enough the whole mansion begin to burn as it was essentially made of wood. Finally, you can taste freedom, after six years, you were finally free and you were sure that everyone felt relieved as they now can feel free again.

"What happened there y/n?" Jungkook spoke softly near you as the forty five of you walk along to find the nearest police station. You tensed up a bit but eventually relaxed when he puts his hand on yours.
"I killed him... It's all you need to know..." You stated back staring blankly at the ground as you walk, Jungkook grip tightened  as he looked at you, shocked.
"It was it or me being killed... I've told you I came there with a plan... I just followed it" he gulps looking at the lack of emotion in your eyes as you talk about it. It scares him, killing someone can change you for the rest of your life and he was afraid of what will happen when you will actually realized what you have done. What will you feel when you will understand that you take away somebody's life...
