Chaoter 17: Upsetting

It was raining again tonight, it didn't rain in a while and you missed this feeling. The feeling of peace that it brings to you almost making you want to sleep. But today, you wouldn't sleep that early, the cause is none other that Jieun herself. She desperately tried to catch up on everything, her and your childhood friends get along well as well as Hoseok. Hoseok has already met Yoongi and Jieun but it was really quick and it happened just once.
And even if you were happy right now, a part of you (a big part), had this feeling that means everything but good. You know the danger is around you all the time and it made you a bit paranoid when a tall unknown man is behind you on the street or at supermarket. It begins to be unbearable and suffocating. But, again, you being you, you didn't tell anyone to not make them worry.
"So my y/n finally have a boyfriend?" You literally choked on your own saliva when you heard her, coughing violently.
"Wh-what the h-hell?" You still tried to catch your breath almost dying for the lack of air of few seconds ago. Everyone gave you a 'as-if-it's-not-true' look with raised brow, except Jungkook who was scratching his head flustered. He still remember your bold confession of last day.

-Flashback-
"I love you... More than anything..." You stated hugging him more tighter, he stopped the stroking, eyes wide. Did she...? Did I...? God... Even his thoughts weren't coherent at all. His first love just throws at him that she loves him, more than anything.
"Do you mean it?" He asked you, but he was met by soft snores. You fell asleep, already in dreamland leaving him with a puzzled look, a light shade of pink on his cheeks, wide eyes and lips part, trying to let his brain process...
-End of flashback-

"Well..." Jungkook begin making you look at him with a questioning look. He remark the look on your face and tried to play it bold.
"When we sleep at your house, you-" you nearly ran to him and bring your hand on his lips when you understand, he do remember what you said. He never brought the subject so you just assume he didn't hear you. But, man did he hear and he is going to use this at his advantage.
You can feel the smirk of Jungkook against your hand as he looked at you with an amused face, while you just glare at him.
"What is it?!" Hoseok asked curious like everyone in the room. They literally looked at you with raised eyebrow at this point of the discussion. You know that you chose to cut the sentence at the wrong time, letting it sound like it was something dirty.
"Nothing" you retrieve your hand from Jungkook's mouth hoping he won't tell anything stupid as your friends looked suspiciously at the two of you. With a smirk Jungkook retorted.
"Nothing, huh? It was memorable... Babe" your cheeks were crimson now, your eyes wide, your lip parted, your heart were going to explode in your ribcage and you would not be surprised if someone hears it from miles away. He just called you with a pet name, for the first time and for the first time there's not only adoration and love in his gaze... Lust?
"Memorable?!" Seokjin,
"Babe?" Yoongi,
"At night?" and Taehyung shouted at the same time. You close your eyes pitying your eardrums to have to support the loud sound. You blushed even more when you realise what a dirty mind those friends of yours have.
"Yah, we didn't do anything like that... I didn't even had my first kiss!" You defended yourself crossing your arms over your chest defensively. Making Yoongi and Seokjin sigh in relief. Jungkook just chuckled at your uneasiness right now. You turn to him with a pout and a frown.
"I hate you" you stated walking back to your previous spot of the room. Jungkook stopped when he saw you sulking like a baby. He stands up and goes to you, you just turn your head to the window of the room, pretending to be interested of whatever is outside.
"Y/n? Baby?" You nearly crack a smile at the cute pet name but you decided against it and pull a straight face on.
"Oh, come on I know you love me" he stated with a sweet voice, you scoffed lightly, trying to deny the truth. You just wanted to see how long you can be angry at him. The results, few seconds.
He suddenly inches closer to your face making your breath hitched a bit, shivers running down your spine while his hot breath make contacts with your colder one.
"I love you too... More than anything" he related the same words you gave him three days ago, making your cheek reddening. You really did think he didn't hear you but you were wrong, he heard it and he felt the same. Your minable attempt of getting angry soon disappears of your mind as you smile widely, showing your bunny teeth. He also smiled widely seeing you like that.
"What just happened?" Jieun asked Yoongi who was next to her. Everyone wasn't that affected, they all saw Jungkook's effect on you more than once.
"Our new normality" Yoongi answered with a small smile. Whatever Jungkook said to you made you happy, really happy even beyond that.
"She never smiled like that before" Even Taehyung was a bit taken aback. Now, curious about what Jungkook could've told you.
"Let them be" Misun commented quietly looking at the both of you with a smile.
Jungkook came back to his seat but you still look at each other with those puppy heart eyes that every cheesy movie had.
"Well, I like this normality" Jieun stated with a wide smile. As wide as yours. She is happy for once...

"Jimin!!!" Jisung called for his friend which was on his desk right bow looking at some random files.
"What?" Jisung is out of breath after running, he takes a moment before answering Hus friend's worried question.
"He... Killed... Again" Jisung stated through pants. There's no need to ask who is he? It's the killer, the one he can't caught. The one who haunted you. A horrified look already on, it worsened when Jisung added something to his uncompleted sentence.
"It's a family. A man, his wife and their two kids" the thought made him wanna kill this murderer right now, he clenched his jaw and fist when he look away from Jisung.
"That bast*rd" he breathed out before taking his jacket a few seconds after. He had fury in his eyes, something that didn't appear that much in Jimin's soft features.
"Let's go" was what he simply said to Jisung before they head to the new crime scene.

"The man is Sung Jihyo, forty seven years old. The woman Sung Minah, forty four years old. The older daughter, Sung Eunae, seventeen years old and the younger son Sung Jiae, fifteen years old..." The place was packed of police cars, ambulances and journalists. It was an horrible sight, the husband had his head almost detaching from his head, the killer was way more violent on him.
"And we found this..." The police physician handed a piece of paper. Jimin's breath hitched while he read it along with Jisung's.
"It is what happens when you upset me. Will you be ready to see everyone around you in the same state... I will may even take the siblings, the pale guy, the coffee shop owner and the two policemen. How that's sounded... Baby girl?"
"It was on the man's body. From what it seems, he was the last one to be killed among them... He watched his family die" And it's what he wanted you to experience before you die, watch those who count for you die slowly and painfully...
