Chapter 11: React

You told them everything, it brings more emotions than you expected, Seokjin and Yoongi were shocked to learn all of this. Of course, they knew that you must have lost your parents or something like that but they didn't thought or even imagine one second that you have been through this. Hoseok was shocked as well, he didn't thought that a person who lived such a traumatic experience could be as joyful and happy as you are. Taehyung and Misun didn't know what you must have done to take those keys that night and was shocked to know that you killed him, they didn't thought once in eight years that you were able to do that. For Jimin, well, he has the same reaction as the others, shocked as well, he didn't thought this case was this... Deep, he thought that the killer was a crazy psychopath but he didn't thought it hides a story like this. Jungkook who stands next to you was worried by the numb expression you had on your face, he internally prayed for you to show emotions any feelings that can prove your soul was still alive. You stare at the blank remembering the moment you push the trigger and killed this monster, the moment his body fell on the ground and the blood begin to escape from his wound. You shot perfectly as it attain the heart. Had he even have one? You asked to yourself and for the maybe hundredth time this last weeks you cried silently at first but the sobs can be heard after Jungkook brought your head in his chest, you weren't feeling guilty not at the slightest, Eden deserved it, no, you were feeling weak, you didn't know if you can protect them or yourself and at the same time something inside you pushed you to save them because it feels like you didn't six years ago or else Jieun would be awake, Kiyeon would still be alive and maybe all of you could have been free from all of this mess that you were dragged in. You feel responsible from the situation and confused at the same time, two feeling that push you on your limits. You were on the verge of depression even if by now you should know that the world you grew up in won't give you rest.
"I've told you that I won't leave and that we will go through this together, haven't I?" He asked with a sweet voice still holding you tightly. You nod at this statement, trusting him fully.
"You don't have to go through this alone, okay?" He softly break the hug and looked at your messed up face, he quickly wiped the tears that remain on your cheeks and in the corner of your eyes as you still sob softly, before planting a kiss on the crown of your head. He always managed to calm you down even in the worst situation and you won't never thank him enough for that.
"You won't leave me, right?" You found yourself asking him, he smiled at you and shook his head.
"Never... You are stuck with me" he said which makes you crack a smile, is this man even real? You ask yourself admiring his face as he stares back at you. Someone(Jimin), in the room cleared his throat making both you and Jungkook look ahead.
"It's all I need for now, it is late and you should rest Ms. Kwon,... All of you too. There are two policemen at the door to keep an eye on you, so feel safe" and with that the police officer left you and your friends to get to work. With all the information got he is sure that it will be easier to find the killer.
The room was silent as any of you dare to speak first, Jungkook's fingers were still intertwined with yours, he squeezed your hand every then and now to soothe you and ease you a bit.
"Are you okay?" Was the first question that left Yoongi's mouth before he realised what he just said.
"Stupid me... Of course you aren't" he mumbled, rolling his eyes at his own stupidness.
"It's okay" you mumbled clearly lying, you are not okay and you will never be before this sick person will be dead.
"Do you need anything?" It was Seokjin's turn to pursue the awkward conversation.
You chuckled a bit, a genuine one.
"You don't have to be like that you know... It's my past, it's me... It won't change my personality though" you stated the truth, you always do it, stand up when you fall, or else you won't be there today.
"It's just..." Misun didn't know how she should react.
"React like you used to, the fact that I kill Eden didn't, don't and won't never generate, any kind of guilt or regret in me. I killed him because he was a bad person and I won't never blame myself for that... And except the fact that someone tries to kill us I'm fine" you said without stuttering or even blinking once, it's true, you won't never regret what you did that night because any of you will be there right now.
"If you say so..." Taehyung stated trying to form a smile.
"For now, go check on Jieun and bring me food please" you try to change the subject and the mood. The persons in the room are a bit surprised by your request but not Jungkook, he knows you better, he knew that you will always try to be strong, hiding your weakness to others and to yourself.
"Please check on Jieun, I'm going to talk to her" Jungkook announced making you look at him with furrowed eyebrows. Talk about what? You thought when you look at him with a frown and a pout.
"Hmm, me and Tae are going to bring you food" Misun said slowly dragging Taehyung to the door to walk out of the room. They know that if someone can know what exactly what is in your head, it's Jungkook and Jungkook only. Even if the four of you have known each other in the same period of time, Jungkook and you shared this strange connexion that only both of you have, more than friendship much more even if any of you wouldn't admit it to anyone else than yourselves...for now.
"I'm going to check on my coffee shop" Hoseok felt like he was in some romantic movie which makes him wanna coo but he eventually left the two of you.
"I'm going to check on my sister" Seokjin dragged Yoongi along. And this unique connexion that you and Jungkook have, your other friends begins to see it too.
As soon as the two of you were alone in the room, you drop the smile and rub your tired eyes.
"Was it that obvious?" You asked and he sighed lightly knowing too well that you just pretended to be unfazed.
"No, it wasn't... But you can't lie to me" it's the truth and you both were aware of it since the first time you talked to him in this cursed mansion. You sighed too not knowing if you can play this game any longer.
"I'm sorry" you blurted out making him look at you surprised and confused.
"For what?" Jungkook scoffed making you look at him, he can't believe that you were apologizing even if you didn't tell he already knew why you were apologizing and it's infuriating him to see you blaming yourself for all of this messed up situation.
"You read this word and you see that this psycho clearly had something against me. He had the chance to kill me but he didn't. You know why?... Because this bastard wants me to see each one of you suffering and dying before killing me at a slow and agonizing pace. He wants to kill me both mentally and physically" you stated too calm and Jungkook and you both know that it wasn't good and that a part of you that you don't want to come out is brought at the surface. A cruel and pitiless you.
"I know it too well y/n. We all know it but any of us won't let it happen" he retorted trying to reassure you with words that he can't even guarantee himself.
"You know you can't lie to me too" you scoffed at his attempt, he hoped that he will convince you, but who he was kidding, he couldn't even convince himself with his own sentence. He knew that any of you all were able to predict or fight someone like that.
"I just... I won't stand lose any of you again, all the people I love end up being pulled away from me and I don't want to lose them and... More importantly I don't wanna lose you" you mumbled the last part, not bold enough to state it with confidence. This makes Jungkook heart beats crazily and made him melt as he saw the shade of you that he loves the most, your loving and caring self.
"And I don't wanna lose you too" he stated holding your face with both of his hands making your forehead touch his.
"I will kill them if one of them pass this door" you mumbled looking at Jungkook biting your lower lip with blushing cheeks.
"Me too" he replied with a low tone almost like a whisper, he was about to lean in but...
"I have your food you better share-" I'm killing you Sun...
