Today was the day. The week seemed to past by slowly and now sitting in my math class I couldn't help, but watch the time.
It ticked slower and slower. Seconds seemed to last minutes and minutes seemed to last seconds.
"Since today is everyones last day before break and everyone passed the test with an 80 or above. It's free time, just keep the comotion down a notch." Mr. Gordon said while flipping on some soft musical tunes.
Everyone was right when they said Senior year of high school is the best year.
"So, are you going to Parkers party?" Hazel asked sliding in the seat beside me.
"Yeah, are you?"
"I thought about it, but I don't know if I can stand seeing Lexie flirt with other people. We just broke up, but it doesn't seem to faze her." She slid her phone out of her pocket and eyed Abby. "It just sucks now she is on to your girlfriend."
"My what? Abby is not my girlfriend she was my bestfriend."
"Woah sorry I thought.. nevermind."
"You thought what?"
"Maybe you was..."
Oh man this conversation just turned awkward. I mean yeah some girls are pretty, but I don't like them in a way like that.
"No, I actually have a boyfriend."
"Brook..." Hazel said with a straight face and then started laughing hestirictally. "You should see you face. I'm just messing with you. I know your not lesbian."
My face turned red from embarrassment, but I let out a small laugh trying to hide it. Thankful the bell rang singnaling it was time for the next class.
"But I mean if you ever wonder was it is like to be with a girl." Hazel sent a wink. "I'm here." She added before walking out of the classroom leaving me stunned.
The rest of the day went by quicker than the beginning. I walked with my shoulders slumped and my head down kicking the pebbles on the ground.
"Rough day I see." Conner said.
My head lifted immidetely to see his smirking face and body lend against the back of his truck.
"Conner your back." I ran full force to him and hug him around the neck.
"Your mom said I could pick you up. Now get in punk we are going out to eat and celebrate."
"Celebrate what?" I asked climbing into the seat next to him.
"Nobody told you?"
I shook my head confused on what was going on.
"You're my girlfriend." He sent me a whole hearty smile showing off his dimples.
"You never asked me."
"You're right I didn't. I just told you."
I couldn't stop smiling the whole way to the resturant. I was still in a daze whe we sat down at the booth. I was Conners girlfriend.
Everything just happened so fast and I was enjoying the ride. Then it hit me all good things must end. What if we break up and I become one of those monsters who lays in bed and crys or worst I seek happiness by finding another man before I was able to grieve over him.
"Why do girls over think everything?" Conner said as if he was reading my mind.
"We don't over think everything."
