I could feel the sweat seeping out of my pores. My clothes clinged to my body. It didn't help that my desk was next to the window, letting the afternoon sun stream through beating on my face. I would much rather be home and in front of the AC then seating in this classroom.
It has been exactly thirteen days since the fight with Conner. I haven't seen or talked to him and I'm going insane.
The days seem to drag by and each day I wake up hoping to see a text from him, but I always end up disappointed.
To top it all of I have spent to much time worring if he will ever forgive me, that I'm failing Math.
Kenzie has finally started to hang out with me almost everyday. She announced to me the other day Blade and her were trying to work on getting back together.
I asked her how Conner was doing, but she always tells me she never sees him. I think she is lying and trying to protect my feeling. He is probably happy and not thinking twice about me.
I looked at the clock. I had ten more minutes to finish this stupid quiz.
Normal I would have breezed past it, but I forgot to study.
I'm going to fail over a stupid boy. I need to get my head back in the game and stop letting him cloud up my thoughts.
Think Brook, think. Find the equation that has intercepts (0, -3) and (4, 0).
I dropped my pencil near the person next to me. Thankfully it rolled by their desk. I bent down to pick it up, but not before glancing at their paper to find the answer.
I know cheating is bad, but I can't afford to fail.
I quickly circled the answer then walked to the front of the room to turn in my test.

About half way home my car dinged notifiying me I need gas.
I pulled into the gas station luckily no one was there except for a woman behind the counter.
I was about to insert my debit card into the machine until I read the red note telling me to pay inside.
Great, I hated going in places and now I was forced to.
The lady behind the counter was chatting away on the phone, so I decided to browse around for a little while.
There wasn't much to the store, what you see is what you get. I strolled to the chocolate isle and picked up the king size Reeses.
When I made it back to the counter, she was still on the phone and rolled her eyes when I placed my candy down.
"This it?" She said with annoyance in her voice.
"Um... twenty in gas please." I said pulling my debit card out of my wallet.
"We don't take debit cards. Didn't you read the sign on the pump."
I was really getting tired of her attitude and I wanted nothing more than to be out of here.
"Yes I did read it and it clearly says to pay inside."
"WELL," She said raising her voice louder than before. "If that machine is broken why would you think this one would work?"
"I don't know maybe because it is two different machines. You should have a notice posted saying the machine doesn't take debit cards, instead of saying pay inside. That way people will know."
"Well I just told you, so now you know. Do you have cash because if not can you get out of my face."
I will never understand why people that work with customers have attitudes. It's not my fault she barely makes anything.
