Seven

The next day, as soon as Zhan wakes up he rushed to the library pavilion. He slid the door open which resulted of some papers flying around because of the sudden gush of the wind.

Xichen and Yibo looked at him confused of his actions.

"Zewu Jun! " Zhan called, which made Yibo feel like wanting to throw everything away.

I'm here too! Why didn't you call me?! Yibo snapped in his thoughts.

"Is there something wrong? " Xichen asked.

From there, Zhan started to tell them what happened last night when he accidentally met Wen Ning and the Juniors. He was worried that they might have noticed that he isn't the real Wei Wuxian.

"I see, it's alright. Based on what you've told me, they're thinking that it's one of your tantrums when you're drunk, no need to be worried. " Xichen explained that made Zhan sigh in relief.

"Is that all? " Yibo asked, clearly not fascinated.

"Uh, yeah? " Zhan answered.

"They you can go back now, you're disturbing me. "

Zhan frowned. "What's wrong with him?" Zhan whispered to Xichen which made Xichen shrugg.

"I don't know, he was completely in good mood until you came. "

Zhan rolled his eyes at Yibo before going back to Lan Zhan's room.

"That moody jerk, what's gotten into him? " Zhan asked himself while he was on his way back.

Meanwhile, Xichen looked at Yibo who was grumpy while writing the rules, his brows slightly frowned and throwing a peircing gaze into the innocent paper.

"Yibo, how long have you two known each other? " Xichen asked.

"A day, before we both got here. " He answered.

Xichen nodded before smiling " Don't worry, Zhan was just worried that he might be found out. Nothing will be special between us. "

Yibo frowned even more and looked at Xichen. "Are you saying that I'm jealous? "

" Yibo, listen to me carefully, these days i have been observing you, and my conclusion is that my brother still lives within you, so as master Wei that still lives within Zhan. "

"So you're saying that.. i am still your brother, that loves Wei Wuxian and now I'm acting like this because I'm jealous? "

"I am certain." Xichen replied.

"Impossible. "

"It's not, after you're done i will discuss this matter further to the both of you. "

Yibo was lost in thought, now that Xichen told him what might actually be happening to the both of them, he realized that Zhan has a bit of change in his attitude these days, the Zhan he knew was a bit matured compared to Zhan here being carefree.

A lot of questions ran through his mind and the only one that might have an answer to it was Xichen, he looked at the copies of rules that he has written, he finished more than half in just three days, and now he wants to finish it as soon as possible.

Finally! After three more days, Yibo finished transcribing the rules and on his way back now to Lan Zhan's bedroom.

He opened the door and looked around, but he cannot see where Zhan is.

"Zhan-ge? " He called, he peeked through the big window near the bed but it was just a plain green grass field with some wild flowers starting to sprout.

He roamed the room before he went out to look for Zhan, a few minutes has gone and he was starting to get anxious when he heard a lively laughter coming from a distance. He followed the laughter until he found himself in a bamboo forest and there he saw Zhan playing with some bunnies.

"ZhanZhan! " He called.

Zhan looked at him, his face was frowning but it immediately lit up when he saw Yibo, he got a smile in his face and the sunlight reflected in his eyes which made him look more ethereal.

"Lan Zhan! Come here and look at this bunny! " Zhan summoned him with his hands urging Yibo to come closer.

"What is it? " he asked but Zhan didn't answer him, instead he showed him a bunny who was giving birth.

The rabbit has birthed 4 kittens so far, Zhan looked at them amazingly but was careful not to touch these rabbits.

"They're so cute Lan Zhan, i remember the time when A-Yuan was still little, he's so adorable like these cute little bunnies. " Zhan said as if reminiscing something in the past.

Yibo's heart leaped. He looked at Zhan with shock.

I think there's something wrong with him..

"Lan Zhan? Is there something wrong? You seem different today.. " Zhan asked and held his face to look at him closely.

"Wei Ying? " He whispered.

"Yes? Lan Zhan is something bothering you? " Zhan or rather– Wei Ying asked worriedly.

Yibo shook his head and brushed off Wei Ying's hand off his face. He wanted to cry but he couldn't.

What happened to Zhan? Did he finally gone back to the present? Is he going to be alone now?

He hardly know anyone here and the only one he could trust is Xichen, but Xichen have something to do and he can't bother him right now.

"T-this can't be.. " he whispered but Wei Ying heard him.

"Lan Zhan, i think you're sick or perhaps, are you drunk? "

He looked at Wei Ying's eyes, he tried to see if Zhan is still there.

"Are you really Wei Ying? Z-Zhan.. don't do this to me please. " He begged, his eyes started to water. He's really scared, It's only him and Zhan that could understand each other but what is he supposed to do if Zhan was already gone?

Wei Ying looked at him weirdly "Lan Zhan.. i don't get what you're saying. "

Yibo looked down and shut his eyes, his tears fell, and then suddenly a warm embrace enveloped him.

"I'm sorry.. Bo-di. "

As soon as he heard his name he looked up and he saw Zhan who was looking at him sadly, hint of worry can be seen in his eyes too. Zhan let go of him and looked at him in the eyes.

"Zhan-ge.. what?.. how? " He asked unbelievably.

"I'm sorry okay? I was just trying to get back at you when you made me tear up back then. " Zhan said pertaining to what happened in the forest from the present times.

Yibo hugged him tightly which took Zhan by surprise, he thought Yibo would be mad but it's the other way around.

"please don't do that again, i only have you here, I'll go crazy if you're suddenly gone. " Yibo whispered in his ears while tightening the hug.

Zhan's heart was beating so fast, he couldn't calm himself down but he hugged Yibo back and sighed.

"Okay, I won't, you can let go now. " He said.

Yibo realized that he was being too dramatic and he's hugging Zhan longer than what 'friends' should, so he let go of Zhan and pretended that he's fine but his heart is beating fast as if there were horses racing inside.

"Ehem.. if you do that again, i won't forgive you. " He threatened.

Zhan chuckled "alright, i won't do it again, let's go back and give these bunnies some peace. "

Yibo nodded and both of them went back to Lan Zhan's bedroom and there they both waited for Xichen to come to discuss what's happening to the both of them, Zhan have something to tell them both.
