Twenty Six

"What the hell is this? " Zhan exclaimed when both him and Yibo walked passed a forest with no trees, or rather, they were annihilated by someone who's strong enough to destroy the whole place.

It looks like a battle has taken place and almost everything turned to ashes. But Zhan felt a familiar energy and he knew that it was nearby so he looked at Yibo and nodded before running off to know whose energy is it that he felt.

He looked around for almost half an hour until Yibo went to his side.

"You found anything? "

Yibo nodded "there are traces of cadavers from Baling Ouyang sect. disciples. "

Zhan started to get worried. "Why would the Ouyang Sect send their men here? I hope nothing bad happens, what about the Juniors? Did you find anything? You told me about Jingyi and i think the others came to look for him and ended up encountering something like that. "

Yibo shook his head "i found none, i think they're alright "

"Let's look further, it's five days away from Baling Ouyang sect. starting from here so they might not be far if they fled. "

Yibo nodded and they both started to look from the top of the trees to the caves and where a pond or river is.

They searched till afternoon and Zhan got hungry so they went to look for a nearby river to rest and drink.

Zhan and Yibo halted their steps when they heard voices talking– or more like arguing just behind an enormous tree they passed by.

"You! Be thankful we came back looking for you! "

"Did i tell you come and look for me? You have no responsibility of what happens to me so why are you being so worked up? "

" Jin Ling, Jingyi, stop. Everything is alright now. Let's rest for a while then pack up and head back. "

Zhan shook his head and stepped out from his hiding place. There he saw Jin ling, and Jingyi facing their backs at him still arguing while Sizhui, Zizhen and Wen Ning widened their eyes at the sight of them.

"M-Master Wei! " Wen Ning

" Senior Wei! Hanguang Jun! " Sizhui/ Zizhen

Immediately, Jingyi and Jin Ling turned their head towards them.

"Waaaah! " Jin Ling cried and ran towards Zhan.

"Y-You! Don't do that again! " He cried loudly that made everyone widen their eyes in disbelief.

Even Zhan who was being squeezed by Jin Ling couldn't believe it.

When did this brat became so clingy? Zhan thought.

They all blinked while looking at the crying Jin Ling who was telling Zhan that he's an asshole for leaving them–the Juniors, and he continued to say everything that happened for the past few days in just a whole paragraph.

Zhan smiled after he recovered from shock and patted Jin Ling's head.

"It's okay, I'm back now. "

Everyone also recovered from shock at the same time Jin Ling realized that he's being a crybaby and started to get embarrassed. But even before he could let go of Zhan, everyone ran and hugged Zhan, each of them telling him how much they missed him and that he's alright.

Yibo sighed and let them take their time with Zhan but deep inside he would like to snatch Zhan away from them and give him a hug himself.
