Twenty Eight

(A/N: Hello! I'm back with a new chapter, sorry if it took a lot of time, please excuse some grammatical and typographical errors, enjoy reading ^^)

After the painful goodbyes, Yibo and Zhan parted with the juniors and sent them back in their respected sects.

The two Lan Juniors seem to have been sulking while Jin Ling was unbelievably silent. They must have been really hurt. Who wouldn't be?

While Zizhen on the other hand tried to lighten up their mood before they depart.

The sect leader Ouyang was just watching them silently from afar. Thinking that he will make amends with his son. His decision might be too harsh on them, so he decided to reconcile with his son slowly.

Yibo and Zhan went on their way with heavy hearts. It's the first time they felt helpless in a situation like this, they can only hope that this situation would go well in the near future.

" So.. where are we going? " Zhan asked.

" First things first, let's try looking for the cave. "

"What? But there's so many caves here, how are we going to find for that cave? "

" Do you remember what the outside of the cave looked like? "

Zhan shook his head "it's raining heavily remember? and It's dark. "

"Well.. i noticed something peculiar at the entrance but I can't remember it well. "

"So what are we going to do now? "

"Do you remember if gramps– i mean your grandfather told you anything about the former name of your hometown? "

Zhan frowned and tried to think if his grandfather ever mentioned the old name of their hometown.

" All i remember is that it ends with something like 'ling', and there are only two cities here that has 'ling' in their name, it's either 'Yiling' or 'Lanling' "

"Then let's start with Lanling since it's nearer. "

Both of them nodded in agreement and started to walk towards Lanling.

Yibo kept looking at Zhan.

"Is there something wrong? " Zhan asked.

Yibo shook his head

"Come on, it looks like something's bothering you "

Yibo sighed " I'm just worried i guess? " He said.

" Hmm? Why? " Zhan rushes a few steps ahead of Yibo and faced him while walking backwards.

" About the kids, and you.. even if you don't tell me, i know you miss them already "

Zhan smiled " I'm fine Bo-di, if our fates are destined to reconnect with them before we go back, I'll be thankful enough just by seeing them well. "

Yibo smiled back and held Zhan's hand and made him walk beside him. " I know Sect leader Ouyang will take back his words. "

Zhan nodded " He will. I can see that he loves his son the most "

Both of them tried to erase the worries that's been bothering them, they know the juniors will get through it and get back together again.

Soon they arrived at the borders of Lanling, but before they could enter the gates, men wearing yellow armors stopped their tracks.

" What's going on? " Zhan asked.

They are the gate keepers of the border and it doesn't seem like they have bad intentions. Zhan thought that something wrong might be going on inside.

" The sect. is not yet accepting visitors from other places while the investigations are on going. " One of the gate keepers said.
