Twenty One

Everything did not turn out the way they expected it to be.

First, the portal did not open within the said time and Zhan had a hard time calming Yibo down as Yibo was playing his guqin aggressively, threatening the spirits that he would literally demolish their place if they not give Zhan back.

Some were scared, because Zhan on the other hand was also mad. He seems like he gives off a dark murderous aura and once Yibo has finally listened to him, he rushed and confronted Yulan who was sitting prettily on her throne made of stone.

"What is the meaning of this?! " Zhan barked immediately when he saw Yulan.

With a small smirk on her face, Yulan looked at Zhan. "Oh, i apologize.. it looks like the portal will not open any sooner. Not without a key ofcourse. " then she held out a small sphere on her palm.

Zhan threw glares at her "how dare you trick me?! you made me wait for days and you're freakin telling me that i only need a key to open it?! "

Yulan laughed mockingly at him "how dare you make my daughter cry then? We sheltered you when you were lost and this is what you're going to pay us? "

"Did i ever ask you to take me in? Did i beg you to let me marry your daughter? Have i even once disobeyed you? "

"So you remember afterall " Yulan greeted her teeth.

" No i did not, but I'm smart enough to know what's happening. I guess i never said anything against that marriage? I mean why would i? I have no reason to live anymore and all i can do is be grateful that you took me in. But it's different now, i am alive and i have my loving husband beside me. Now let me go before i make these spirits turn away from you and make sure to destroy this world. "

"Hah! You think I'm scared? Do you really think you can do that easily? "

"I'll never know unless i try " Zhan said with a smirk before he placed his flute on his lips and played a dark melody.

Yulan's head began to throb and she heard the spirits cry in pain then seconds after, Yulan can't believe how Zhan was able to turn other powerful spirits to his side and now they were beside him and ready to fight her.

"I guess I'm more powerful here " Zhan told her with a grin.

"You ungrateful scum! "

The door burst open and revealed a fearful Yelin "mother! What's happening?! "

She realized that Zhan was also inside her mother's chamber with the other two powerful spirits by his side, while her mother looks terrified which she cannot hide even if she tried to.

"What are you doing with my mother?! " She screamed at Zhan.

Zhan laughed and gritted his teeth "just a farewell greeting "

"Stop it! If you want to go then go! We don't need you here! "

"That's what i want, but your mother here seems to have liked me very much and not willing to let go of me. "

Yelin turned to her mother " mother! Just let him go! Our world is starting to get in chaos! "

Yulan turned to her "But he made you cry! This man made my precious daughter cry! " She exclaimed and pointed towards Zhan.

"But mother.." Yelin sighed.

"Please stop, he's happy now. That's all what we want right? To be alive and happy, now that he got what he deserves do we have the right to control him? " Yelin said that made them all look at her in shock.
