The day is finally here, my date with 'Mr. Mystery.' I rolled my lazy butt out of bed and went into the bathroom to do my morning hygiene and shower. After about 30 minutes I was out and dressed in sweats and a t-shirt and went into the kitchen where I found my best friend eating a bowl of cereal… seems like a good idea, so I grabbed me a bowl and a box of cereal. “Good morning” she spoke in her usual perky tone. “Morning” I said, kind of nervous about tonight, speaking of tonight, she spoke up: “So are you excited about tonight?” she sounding eager as ever. “Umm… not really, but I’m doing this for you” I said a bit unsure of myself. Maybe this is a mistake, maybe I shouldn’t go on this date, but it’s too late, Taina has already confirmed everything. “Please don’t tell me you’re having second thoughts” she said, sounding really concerned… I sighed deeply “I am.” “Why????” “I don’t know, maybe because I don’t know nothing about him, not a name, how he looks, nothing.” She sighed “Trust me, it’s all good, I promise, have I ever steered you wrong before???” I raised my eyebrows & gave her the ‘you can’t be serious look’ “Should I really answer that??” she giggled “Ok, ok fine! I have, but not this time.” “Alright if you say so, but if anything goes wrong, I’m catching a cab back home.” “I know, I know, but please don’t do that.” “Ok, then I’ll just find somewhere to hide out at.” She giggled once more “So what do we do now???” I asked. “Well since it’s only…” she checked her phone, “12:45, we can just watch a movie or something.” “Ok, cool.” we went into the living room and watched Pitch Perfect.

I was awaken by the annoying sound of my doorbell ringing… who tf is at my house before 2 p.m.??? I slowly took my time getting to the door & the closer I got the more annoying the sound became. “I’m coming, I’m coming damn!” I finally opened the door & there stood Jacquees. “What tf do you want???” I said pissed off he was ringing my doorbell before 2 p.m. “My bad, just came to make sure you weren’t trying to back out of this date.” “Do you think I would have answered the door if I was??? We agreed this would be the last one, so why the fuck would I bail out of it????” I said annoyed & sleepy af. “Well my bad then, oh yeah hold on.” He said as he went outside, and returned with something behind his back. “Que what the hell are you hiding??” “How you know I’m hiding something??” “Dude, you’re like 3 feet tall, it’s not that hard to tell.” “Whatever, well since the only tux you probably have is the one from prom, I decided to get you one.” He said as he pulled the bag from behind his back and handed it to me. “You’re serious about having to dress up?” “Yes, now take the suit” he said as he stretched it out further my way, “Don’t forget I’ll be here later at 6 to pick you up” he continued. “Yeah ok whatever.” And with that he left out of my house, while I went back upstairs to catch a few more hours of sleep.

The time is finally here, my best friend is more excited now than I’ve ever seen her before. We both took showers (not together people) & began to get ready. We slipped on our dresses, mine being a solid navy blue halter, hers being a solid black strapless, and she began to apply some light make up around mine and her eyes, as well as a light colored glossy lipstick. She went inside of her bag and pulled out some jewelry, everything she pulled out for me was silver and sparkly, I put on the earrings and bracelet. I didn’t need a necklace because of the way my dress was made, and she forgot the rings at home, she gave me a clutch purse to put my money and phone in and told me to wait until she put on her pink and black jewelry before she pulled out our shoes. She pulled out her shoes first which were solid pink suede, wait a minute they were heels but there was no heel on the heel of the shoe, wth??? I hope my shoes aren’t like th—next she pulled out my shoes and they were EXACTLY like that only they were silver
