Rachel's POV:

"This one?" Brittany holds up a pink dress and I shake my head.

"Too bright." I sigh. We've been trying to pick out a dress for about an hour now. I have no clue what to wear, while Brittany found her dress within the first five minutes that we got here.

"How about this one?" I here a deep voice ask from behind me. I turn around, and see the most beautiful dress. It's light blue, tight at the top, and then it comes out slightly at the bottom. It's absolutely perfect.

And then I look at the man who's holding the dress. He has a nice chiselled face, and he's pretty tall. But not really as tall as Finn. And his arms- Wait. Who the hell is he?

"Do I- Um- Sorry, do I know you?" I ask, stuttering a little.

"Brody." He reaches out his hand for me to shake, which I do. His handshake is firm, and his hands soft. "I couldn't help but over-hear you two talking. And I honestly think this dress matches your eyes very well."

"Th-thank you. It's actually really pretty." I say honestly, and he smiles. He hands me the dress, my ring rubbing against the palm of his hand in the process.

He looks down at my hand, and suddenly says good bye and speeds off. My ring is on my finger, and Finn's name flashes through my mind. But yet I can't help but feel compelled to learn more about this Brody guy.

A hard smack hits my arm, and I look over at Brittany.

"Ow?!" I yell, and she shakes her head.

"You have a husband." She whispers, and I sigh. I know I do. And I love Finn more than anything in the entire world. But this guy just happened to walk over to me, hand me a perfect dress, tell me his name, and then leave. Of course I'm going to be curious. And yes, his face was nicely shaped, and he had a nice stubble growing in-

"You're doing it again." Brittany groans, and I snap out of my trance.

"So how're things with Santana?" I ask, trying to get Brody off my mind. I just feel so guilt thinking about his amazing features, and -

"Rachel? Hello..." Brittany asks, shoving her hand in front of my face.

"Huh?"

"Okay, I'll repeat that." She says, clearly annoyed. "Santana and I broke up. I'm with Sam now. We're going to prom together."

"Oh. How about Santana? Who's she going with?" I ask, and she shrugs.

"No clue. Alone, maybe?" She guesses, and I sigh.

Poor Santana. She really loved Brittany. I mean, she was less rude whenever she was with her. And she insults me less when she's with Brittany.

"How about Quinn?" I ask, stepping into the long line.

"Puck. Those two are more in love than Lord Tubbington and that mouse that he found under my bed." She states, to which is laugh.

"Tina and what's his name. Um, Mike. Are they going together?" I ask, and it's her turn to laugh.

"Duh. Wait, why don't you know any of this stuff?" She asks, and I shrug.

"I never really ask, I guess."

She nods, and I walk up to the register. I place my dress on the counter, and swipe my credit card. Well, it's my dad's. He gave it to me because he knows that this night is really important to me. And it's my wedding gift.

"So Lady Hummel-" Brittany starts saying.

"Kurt." I cut her off, and sign my name of the receipt.

"Kurt and Blaine are going to prom together." She tells me, to which I nod.

"I think we all saw that coming from the day he joined the Warblers." I say seriously, but Brittany laughs.

I thank the person behind the register, and take my bag. Following Brittany, I walk out of the mall and towards my car.

"I think the mannequin was staring at me." She whispers, and I smile.

"Yeah, it probably was." I whisper back, getting into the car. She gets in too, and I pull out of the parking lot.

Beep Beep Beep

"Shit." I whisper, as I almost hit the car behind me.

Brittany looks up from her phone, just to tell me to drop her off at her house.

I sigh, looking back at my dress.

The name Brody flashes through my mind, making feel an overwhelming feeling of guilt and confusion.

Ring Ring Ring Ring

"Hello, you've reached future star Berry. Rachel speaking." I say as practiced. Of course I'm going to change it by the time I'm famous, but for the meantime that should work.

"Rachel? It's Rose." A young girl speaks into the phone.

Rose? Rose auburn? From spanish class? No, I never gave her my number.

Rose- rose!

"The Rose from New York? Like, Zayns daughter?" I ask, and I hear her say yes quietly.

"I miss you so much! How's the famous life? Oh, I'm so jealous of you. You're so famous! I've seen you in almost every magazine! It's so great to hear your voice! There's so much we have to catch up on." I ramble, and hear Rose laugh on the other end.

"Well, the famous life is okay. A little overwhelming, but the fans are nice. I've made some friends, and guess what?"

"What?"

"I have my own fans! People are making fan accounts of me, and everything!" She squeals, and I feel my stomach flip.

That should be me. I should be famous, with many fans around the world.

That should me me. I should be the one traveling the world, and signing autographs.

That should be me.

"O-oh. Wow! Th-that's amazing." I whisper, forcing the words out of my mouth.

"Oh, and I have a boyfriend." She states, causing me to gasp.

"A boy-boyfriend? Like, kissing and dating?" I ask, hoping that's not the case. She's too young to get into that. I may be jealous, but I still care about her.

No. I'm not jealous. I'm simply upset that I don't have the life that she has.

It's not jealousy.

"Hello? Did we get cut off?" Someone yells on the other end of the phone, and I realize I've been ignoring Rose.

"Sorry, what were you saying?" I ask.

"I said, his name is Drew and we haven't kissed yet. But he's picking me up in an hour and bringing me out for dinner. My parents met him and approved, so I'm really happy."

"I'm happy for you too." I sigh, realizing that I'm not her mom. And I don't have to be over protective.

"Listen, you're going to receive a lot of hate. But just remember that you have Finn and I here for you. Okay?" I ask, reminding her that we are the ones who were there for her from the beginning.

I'm not jealous. I swear.

"I know. And you guys are the ones that saved me. So I'll remember you forever. Okay, I have to go. A bunch of fans are mobbing the store that I'm in. Bye!" She yells, before hanging up.

"Goodbye, Rosie." I say to the phone, even though she is no longer listening.
