"Ayesha...tum sun rahi ho?" he questioned again.
"Haan..." I could feel that I was breathing fast.
"A-K-A-M-A" he suddenly spoke, pronouncing each and every letter individually.
"Matlab...?" I asked.
"Ayesha ki aankhon mein aasoo" he exclaimed, as I giggled, wiping my eyes.
"Yaar Ayesha...tum abhi se kyu ro rahi ho, kahani mein SAD part toh aana baaki hain!" he cackled.
"Wah! Main RO rahi hoon...kuch bhi" I distracted him.
"But Ayesha...on a serious note -
"Main, meri kahani, sirf iss liye bata raha hoon because YOU want to hear it"
"And I want to remind you one thing -
Kavya was my PAST.
But Ayesha Thakur is my PRESENT.
And Ayesha Mantri will be my FUTURE."
His words caught my attention.
"Oh Oh Oh...ek minute"
"Main shaadi ke baad apna surname nahi change karungi" I suddenly screeched.
A big smile beamed on his face while he stayed silent for a moment.
And then I realized, that he was actually planning about marriage - OUR MARRIAGE.
"Abhi...listen" I touched his hand lying on the table.
But before I spoke anything, he himself started -
"Ayesha...
Joh bhi bolunga sach bolunga, sach ke siva aur kuch nahi bolunga.
I have started liking you.
For me, you are the most adorable girl, my mom could ever find - as a 'bahu'.
At the same time, I don't want to force any decision upon you.
At any point of time, if you do not like me - I will never force you - to do anything.
You know everything about me and my family - Mumbai, office, work and my life.
I have started knowing about your family as well.
Lastly, yeh Kavya wali joh kahani hain - yeh bhi main, sirf tumhare kehne pe hi - bol raha hoon.
At any point of time, if you want me to stop - I will stop.
I do not want to hurt you or make you feel sad or embarrassed.
And as far as, YOUR MARRIAGE, is concerned (he stressed on the word - YOUR),
I PROMISE YOU - IT WILL TAKE PLACE - as and when you want.
And one last thing -
At the end of the day, I JUST WANT -
YOU TO BE HAPPY.
Bas, that's it,
Mujhe aur kuch nahi chaiye."
I was simply speechless - I was just thinking in my mind - that how can a man - be so perfect?
Perfect, as in, just the most 'perfect' man - any woman would want.
"Ayesha...itna acha speech diya...taali toh baja de" he made me smile, with his statement.
