Emberly sighed again as she held her phone up to her ear hoping that Jaya would answer but instead she got the voicemail instead.

She figured Jaya was ignoring her after Emberly went and had a talk with Jaya's mom behind her back. And by now she probably figured that Jaya knew.

Emberly just wanted to help. She really hopes she didn't cause more problems than they already were.

One conversation about Jaya's mom and that's all it took before Emberly was butting herself in something that didn't even involve her.

"What are you doing out here?" Everly asks stepping out of the house coming onto the patio where Emberly sat in the pool chair.

"Nothing. Besides being ignored." Emberly replies setting her phone down beside her.

"By who?" Everly asks taking a seat in the chair next to Emberly.

"There's this girl, Jaya. She was with me in New York filming the movie and a few days ago she told me about her mom and how her mom was drinking and blah blah."

"Please don't me you involved yourself," Everly says.

"I did. I went over to Jaya's house and had this talk with her mom. And it wasn't a bad conversation but it always wasn't a nice conversation either." Emberly explains.

"Why would you do that? Did she ask you to do that?" Everly asks.

"No, but she's my friend. I care about her and who wouldn't do anything for one of their friends? I'm just trying to help." Emberly replies.

"Listen I know you had good intentions but I think you shouldn't have involved yourself in it. It's between Jaya and her mom. And if her mom doesn't want to be helped and wants to continue to drink her life away, you can't change her mind." Everly explains.

"I know that. But maybe if Jaya's mom realized she has more than life than just drinking she would stop." Emberly says.

Everly frowns her brows slightly as she turns her head looking at Emberly, "Am I missing something? Is this about Jaya and her mom or you and Dad?"

"What? No. I've dealt with my issues about Dad's death and everything. It's just we both know what it's like to lose a parent to drinking and drugs. No one should have to experience that." Emberly explains.

"I miss you," Emberly says into her phone holding it between her shoulder and ear as she grabbed out her jacket out the closet that she was going to where today for school.
