𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐘 𝐓𝐖𝐎

It was a beautiful sunny day in Beverly as Emberly and Spencer sat together at a booth talking.

It had been two days since Emberly and Spencer decided to be something more than friends. Well, to be honest they still actually haven't even confirmed or put a label on what they were.

"So, who you rooting for?" Spencer asks looking at her.

"Between Crenshaw and Beverly?" Emberly asks.

"Mm-hm."

"What- Can't I root for both teams?" Emebrly asks him.

"No. No, you gotta pick a side." Spencer tells her.

"You can't make me choose between my school against my..." Emberly paused mid sentence.

"Can't even say it." Spencer points out.

Emberly grinned as she rested her chin on the ball of her fist turning and looking at Spencer as he waited for her to say the words. "My boyfriend."

"Mm."

"There. Happy?" Emberly asks.

"Yes." Spencer says as he leaned over towards giving her a kiss. "I just like hearing it out loud." Spencer says as two interwind their fingers together.

"Does.. does this feel weird to you?" Emberly asks, "Like putting a label on it like that?"

"Now it kinda does." Spencer says.

"Ok. Well, that's not what I meant." Emberly says as Spencer chuckled, "It's. It not us being together. It's just- I don't know. There's been a crazy build up between for the last few months that until everyone knows it just doesn't seem real. But our do like our little secret romance bubble."

"That's why I called Olivia." Spencer says. "I didn't want her hearing about us from someone else."

"How'd it go?" Emberly asks.

"I will let you know when she calls me back." Spencer says.

"Ok." Emberly nods her head.

"Hey, guys. Can I join you?"

Everly's voice is heard from behind which caused Emberly to quickly remove her hand from Spencer turning around as Everly approached the table.

"Um, yeah. Grab a seat." Emberly tells her as Spencer glanced down at his hand and then up at Emberly.

"Actually, I'ma roll out." Spencer says standing up from his seat causing Emberly to look at him, "I will, uh, call you later. Everly."

"Ok. Now, what was that about?" Everly asks looking at Emberly.

"This is probably not gonna be a surprise to you but Spencer and I ate together." Emberly tells her as Everly just looked at her causing her to frown, "Is that your "not surprised" face cause I'm confused?"

"Not surprised at all. This is my "about damn time" face." Everly says, "What are you even stressed about? This is suppose to be the fun part. And hello third time's a charm. Talk to me when you about to get divorced from your boyfriend."

"No, you and Jordan are strong as ever. Ok, I'm just having I don't know a mini freak-out and I don't know. It's not about Spencer. I don't want to hurt Olivia or Jaya." Emberly says.

"That shipped sailed a long time ago." Everly says, "And everyone by now is moving on. Ain't nobody gonna be shocked. Even them."

Emberly nodded her head. The kind person she was she thought about everyone's feeling first before her's.
