Chapter 8...The Adventure

***Clyde***

I would of been in a great mood if it wasn't for Amethyst. I didn't know why she was so grumpy this morning. She was acting like a....princess. Other than Amethyst's horrible mood, I really enjoyed the breakfast that Lady Danielle had cooked for us. She had made us eggs, bacon, toast, and hash browns, with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice to drink. The bright, morning sun was shining through the glass windows and the birds were chirping noisily. It was a beautiful day outside and I was excited to go and hunt down some scorch hogs.

When I spotted Amethyst coming down the stairs, I sighed and shook my head in disapproval. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Amethyst said crossing her arms. Her hair was wet from a morning shower. "What do you mean?" I asked. She glared at me. "You know exactly what I mean. What's up with you this morning?" she asked me frowning. I looked at her completely confused. "What's wrong with me? What the heck is wrong with you!?" I practically yelled.

"What the heck are you talking about Clyde?" Amethyst asked. "Well, Amethyst. First, I come to your bed to tell you to wake up, and that breakfast was ready. Then, you completely spas at me and command me to ask you how your night was. I told you I was hungry, and then you yell at me to be more of a gentleman. I mean, how much nicer do you expect me to be?" I said crossing my arms. I felt rush of anger fill my body.

Amethyst stared at me like I was from another planet. "What?" I asked. "That is so completely.....untrue!" she said glaring at me. "Okay then," I sighed staring directly into her glassy blue eyes. "You explain to me what happened." I said, curious to hear the story from Amethyst's point of view. She sighed and looked at me with a serious face.

"Okay, Clyde. This is what happened. I woke up to the sound of your serious voice. Instead of being nice and smiling at me, you were super serious and said 'morning. Breakfast is ready.' That was it. So, I said something like 'aren't you going to ask me about my sleep?' And then, you tell me that everything is not about me so I yelled at you by-" "I'm sorry to interrupt your little conversation, but will you two please just SHUT UP!" Lady Danielle yelled from the kitchen.

Both Amethyst and I turned around to see the tall blonde woman walking towards us. "Really? You gals are actually fighting about this stuff? Goodness, I didn't know immortal siblings were that bad." she said sitting down beside us. Lady Danielle was wearing an apron and had her long hair pulled back into a ponytail "Clyde, try to be a gentleman in the morning. Amethyst, don't be such a grumpy morning person. You gals happy now?" she said to us.

Before I could open my mouth to argue or say something to her, she said, "Good. Now that we got whatever that was out of the way, we can start packing for your little road trip." Lady Danielle said. "Thanks for the breakfast." Amethyst said. Lady Danielle nodded at her. "And the clothes." I added. "No problem you two." she said and smiled at us.

Lady Danielle had provided us with a few fresh pairs of clothes, a large supply of food and water, and she even gave us a small, man-made device from the Galactic centre. They called it a "cell phone" and it allowed me and Amethyst to contact anyone at anytime. Once we were finally finished packing our things in one big bag, we both thanked Lady Danielle.

"I'm gonna miss you gals. Even though I've only met you two for no longer than about forty-eight hours, I'm still gonna miss you two." she said smiling at both of us. My small hatred for that woman was slowly disappearing. "Before you go," Lady Danielle said looking at us with a serious face. "I made you two gals a small map. Just in case you two get lost." she said handing us a small sheet of paper. I examined it quickly before I put it into our bag.
