Chapter 11...Strategy

***Amethyst***

Thiefy was the first to fall. Then it was Clyde, and then Randy. "What is wrong with you boys!?" I asked. We were only about twenty feet in the air when they fell down. Luckily, Thiefy and Randy had caught a branch just before they could hit the ground.

Clyde, on the other hand, wasn't so lucky. He ended up landing straight on his back with a loud THUD.

"Ow..." he grumbled to himself before sitting up. I rolled my eyes and looked down towards the three, crippled boys, who couldn't climb more than twenty feet up a tree. "Man, you guys are sad!" I yelled at them.

Suddenly, the branch supporting all of my weight snapped off of the large tree trunk. I fell unexpectedly, and saw the ground coming closer and closer to me. I closed my eyes tightly as I landed hard on the ground.

There was a loud, snapping sound that came from my right arm when I landed awkwardly on it. A small shriek escaped from my mouth as pain flared up my arm.

"You were saying?" Clyde said with sarcasm in his voice. I rolled over groaning and holding my broken arm. "This...is going...to take...a while." I said through my clenched teeth. "I told you this wasn't going to be easy." Randy said as he let go of the low tree branch.

I closed my eyes tightly and took a shaky breath in. It wasn't soon before I felt the small scratches on my body start to heal. More pain shot up my arm as the bone inside of it started moving back in place. Another small shriek escaped from my mouth as the bone shifted. Within a minute, all of the pain subsided, and I sat up to face Clyde, Theify, and Randy.

"Are you okay Curiosity?" Theify asked. I smiled and nodded reassuringly. "I'm immortal guys, remember?" I said to everyone.

"How on earth are we going to climb up this goddamn tree!?" Clyde asked in frustration. It's been an hour and we couldn't make it past twenty feet up the tree. I didn't think climbing a tree would be this difficult.

Clyde had broken his left leg twice, and his arm once. I broke my arm again and hit my head so hard on a branch that I went unconscious for a few minutes. When I finally woke up, I found out that Theify had sprained his wrist and Randy had broke his leg.

"It'll heal," Randy reassured us. "That's what the scorching to health stuff does. Once the substance is in your system, any injuries, cuts, or bruises will heal within five minutes." he said. I sighed and sat up holding my throbbing head. "We need some sort of plan. Like a plan that will get us further than twenty feet up the tree." I said.

"Yeah, I agree." Clyde said. "Maybe you could use my help." someone said from behind us. I turned around to find the most stunning boy I've ever seen in the world.

He had messy, dark-brown hair that was spiked up wildly in different directions. The boy had tanned skin, and the prefect, dazzling lime-green eyes that sparkled in the broad daylight. His lips were smaller, and his defined jawline made him extremely handsome.

"Who are you?" Clyde questioned. The boy smiled, exposing his perfectly white teeth. "Who are you?" the boy asked. "I'm Amethyst!" I blurted out loudly. Everyone turned around and looked at me like, why would you scream your name so loud? "What are you all looking at? Is it rude to introduce yourself to a stranger or something?" I asked crossing my arms.

"Amethyst. An interesting name." he said as I blushed. The boy was perfect. Well, almost perfect. He was perfect...until he spoke. "What was your mother thinking? What kind of mother names their kid Amethyst?" The boy snickered, and then laughed. "Hey, back off mister spiky hair! Talk to my sister like that one more time, and your dead. Literally." Clyde said.
