i went through my closet to find something green and yellow to wear, i laid it out on the bed then picked out some shoes and then sat to start on my hair.

i connected my ipad to my speaker and adjusted the warm towel wrapped around my body, i started curling my hair with a curling iron and then pinning them up.
once i was finished doing that, my phone started buzzing causing my music to pause, i answered it and my music continued.
"hello?" i said finishing my makeup "where you at we all waiting" mahlia asked and i looked at the time.
"lemme get dressed" i said putting my lash on, i would just do my lips in the car. i got up and started putting my outfit on.
i put on a green hoodie with a creme vest, some camouflage pants and the chlorophyll dunks.
somebody started banging on my room door and i rolled my eyes, "lets go!!" billie yelled from downstairs.
i opened the door to see makhi and she laughed before waiting for me to put my shoes on.
i slipped on my dunks and sprayed some perfume before grabbing my yellow snapshot and walking downstairs with makhi.
"rushing me, like damn can i get myself together" i said and mahlia came behind me before taking the pins out of my head, "i forgot all about them" i said thanking her.
"can we fucking go, god." saniya complained and i looked at her, "ima talk wit nalani about that when i get back, for now lets go" i mumbled grabbing my keys and phone.
we all stood outside as i looked at everyones cars parked outside my house, "so.. jamie and mulan since they a couple, mahlia, makhi and saniya since they rode together, and then.. wait who all going" i said putting everyone together.
"its just you and billie left, so y'all should just ride together" mulan said and i shrugged while billie dug around for her keys.
"okay lets go" she said and we all started making our way to the car when we saw saniya still standing there.
billie rolled her window down and yelled out for saniya, "saniya, mahlia and makhi waiting lets go!!" she yelled and she still stood there.
"i'm not getting into no type of car unless its with billie," she said annoyingly, looking into the others cars i could see that they groaned and mahlia looked irritated.
"just get in the damn car." billie said and i got out to push my seat up, she stood there and looked at me.
"saniya get in the damn car before you don't go" billie sternly spoke and she whined before climbing into the backseat.
i pushed the seat back up and sat back in my seat, putting my seatbelt on.
i didn't say nun that whole altercation because i was in my thoughts so she couldn't say that this was all my fault.
billie pulled off and started making our way to the school, "you look good sy're, your outfit is cute" billie said and i thanked her before getting back on my phone.
"welcome! i love the color theme, yall look amazing. yall seats are courtside so the cheerleaders will be in the middle and then girls basketball will be to the right" Coach Taylor explained and we nodded before walking to our seats.
"welcome to our 15th annual monroe jersey ceremony!" coach natalie exclaimed, "in honor of our 2023-2024 cheer and basketball teams, we decided that we would do something fun and make y'all look like monroe threw up in your closet." coach taylor explained.
"so this how this gon work, im going to call first and last names and then you'll come up, we'll have custom made baskets for each of you." they said and we nodded.
i saw nalani sitting down with ziara and i waved and she smiled at me, "Zariyah Adams" and the list went on and on.
"Mulan Averies" she called and we started cheering as she walked up, "yes mulann!!" i heard and we laughed.
"Jamie Foster!" he exclaimed and she went up and did a lil dance, "thats my babyyy!!" mulan yelled and jamie giggled.
she grabbed her basket and went to sit down, "Mahlia Smith!!" he yelled into the microphone and mahlia went up to do a dance.
"thats my bestfriend!!" i yelled and the ceremony continued on.
"Sy're Prince" they called and i walked up, they all cheered for me and i grabbed the basket and i walked off of the stage.
soon the ceremony ended and a big ass party started, "what yall get?" i asked them as i sat the basket next to me.
"our uniform, hoodies with our number and name on the back, some basketball sneakers, custom shorts, and some candy" billie said eating the twix bar.
"what yall get?" mahlia asked and i looked through the basket, "warmups, jerseys, varsity hoodies with our initals, crocs, our bows, the uniform of course. a note and some snacks" i said and they gasped before looking through the baskets.
"how yall get more than us?!" they asked and we laughed before shrugging, saniya soon came over and sat with us.
"all that stuff is ugly" she said and we rolled her eyes, "you're mad because you didn't make the team" mulan said and i covered my mouth.
"you're dead wrong too," i said laughing a little bit.
