Fiasco

Chapter 14

I locked the doors and went to go see what my mum was doing.

Mum:"y/n you need to be careful, don't fall for Luke when your in love with Ivan, even though I don't approve of what hes done to you. I've seen the way you look at Luke."
Y/n: "I'll be fine mum the mess won't get any worse than it already it is."
Mum: "if you say so, I' won't be home for a while I have some things to sort out for the cafe."
Y/n: "alright, well bye mum"

I gave her a hug and walked out of the office, as much as I loved having a supportive mum sometimes I just need her to let me make mistakes and figure out my own things. I left the cafe and walked home, it was raining and I was soaking by the time I got home. I checked my phone and saw an email from Ivan's business team.

"Ms.Y/l/n, as requested by specifically by Audra you're invited to her and Ivan's engagement party, it'll be held at Ivan's house and you should arrive by 6:00pm this Saturday."

Ivan's getting engaged? My head started spinning and I couldn't focus on anything, he looked at me so lovingly and held me so tightly whenever I was in his arms, I know that his relationship is fake but an engagement is a bit much even for Audra. I got a message from Luke and my face immediately lit up.

Hey y/n did you get home safely?

Yeah thank you so much for checking up on me, i'm just soaking wet from the rain. Btw I know it's a bit late but my mum won't be coming home for a while and I don't wanna be alone, wanna come hang :)

Duh. I'll be there in a while

I went to get some medications from downstairs for my dizzy head and sat at the kitchen table waiting for Luke, about 25 minutes went by and I heard the door ring. I sprung out of my chair and opened the door to be greeted by Luke holding some flowers.

Luke: "hey y/n!"
Y/n: "Luke!"

I hugged him, he was taken back but ended up relaxing his body and hugging me back, he gently passed me the flowers, I stared at them for a while, they were a mix of orchids and hyacinths flowers, they were my dad's favorite. He hated roses as they were "the bare minimum and basic".

Luke: "you okay y/n?"
Y/n: "I- yeah these were my dad's favorite flowers."

Luke stared at me with sad and comfortin  eyes, I could see guilt written all over his face.

Luka: "y/n I'm so sorry if I knew I wouldn't have-"
Y/n: "no need to apologise now come on I wanna play some video games!"

I ran back into my house followed by Luke, we crashed onto the sofa and started watching TV and playing some video games, a few hours went by in a blink of an eye, Luke's eyes eventually started to droop.

Y/n:" hey if you're tired I can give you a lift home or you can sleep in one of the spare bedrooms."
Luke: "tired? Pfttt, please sleep is for the weak!"
Y/n: "whatever you say loser don't expect me to not make fun of you once u fall asleep."

Luke chuckled and we carried on watching the movie I realised he fell asleep when he stopped laughing, he is so getting picked on by me when he wakes up, he layed on my lap and I played with his hair and carried on watching the movie, my eyes started feeling heavy, I was going to wake Luke up but he looked to adorable to sleep so I ended up sleeping next to him.
