A/N
Hi, this chapter will be written narratively since Sophie is done with her letters. I wanted to do the whole book in a letter format but I guess that won't be possible :(

Anyway, enjoy!
Kitty :D

Sophie crushed Keefe with a hug. "Wow there Foster, this is the third hug you've given me in a row! I know hugging pretty boys is your dream, but let a guy breathe!" She let him go but didn't stop smiling.

"It's just so great to hear you, and see you awake, and I can't really fathom that you're here! I was so worried you wouldn't wake up. It was a very long time, you know..." Sophie said, trailing off. She'd dreamed of this day for months but now it didn't feel more than that. A dream. She pinched herself to know if she wasn't dreaming, although she wasn't completely sure that that worked.
It hurt.
She was awake...and so was Keefe.

"Hey, hey, Earth to Foster, you have nothing to worry about, I'm here with you, so stop pinching yourself," Keefe said grabbing Sophie's shoulders. He then proceeded to hug her, this time it wasn't a soul-crushing hug like the ones she'd give him. This time, it was a soft 'I'll protect you' kind of hug- and she loved it. She'd forgotten the great hugger Keefe was.

"Alright, that's enough hugging for today." Grady broke the moment, breaking them off.

"C'mon Grady, you know you wanna hug me too even if you won't admit it," Keefe smirked.

"Sure I do," Grady said, sarcastically. "Seriously, though, I am glad you're awake and alive. We were sort of worried about you."

"Sort of? That's good to know." Keefe snorted.

"Don't be salty, Funkyhair, say thank you." Ro pushed him.

"One, it's Hunkyhair, and two, thank you for being worried about me." He rolled his eyes. "So what'd I miss? Where's Biana and Fitzy and Linh and Bangs Boy and Marella? Where is everyone?"

"They'd gone to bring something to eat earlier. We don't have much here except those weird sandwiches that taste like tuna Elwin cooked." Sophie pointed towards a table with 5 plates of the food she was mentioning.

"First of all, I don't know what a sandwich is so I'll assume they're something good. Second, they're great you just weren't ready for such a great food like that." Elwin picked up the plates and left for the kitchen.

"No offense, doc, but even my bacteria tastes better than that." Ro laughed. "I'll help you take these, that way I won't have to smell them anymore."

"We'll get going too-"

"We are?" Grady interrupted Edaline.

"Yes, honey, we are. Remember Verdi? Remember how we have to feed him?" Edaline made a face that made Sophie realize what was going on. They were leaving her and Keefe alone. Or as alone as they could be with Sophie's 4 bodyguards there with them-plus Ro.
She panicked. This was the first time she was going to be alone with Keefe since she'd realized she loved him. She was going to be all awkward and weird, and he would definitely notice.
She tugged an eyelash.

"See you at home, sweetheart." Edaline blew a kiss at Sophie and with that, they left.

Surely Tam, Linh, Fitz, Dex, Marella, and Biana would be back soon, right? They couldn't be gone for that long. She tugged another eyelash.

"Would you stop that? It's freaking me out. Look..." Keefe grabbed her hand and put it to his chest, making her blush like a tomato. "...I'm perfectly fine, this is my beating heart beating at a perfectly normal pace. There's nothing to be tugging eyelashes for, I'm okay Foster, really."
