Summary: For Camila, the work shift begins and ends like any other, until Lauren Jauregui- like THE Lauren Jauregui- runs in needing her help. And the embarrassing starstruckness ensues. (OR another infatuation at first sight trope)

-

"Have a good night!" Camila called out to the last customer as they walked out of the coffee shop.
As soon as the door closed, her shoulders sagged and her perky smile dropped into a tired frown. Camila was dead on her feet and the fact that she had to cover for Normani's shift today (which meant closing by herself- thanks Mani) made her want to lie on the ground and never get up.

But Camila went to work anyway because she was a poor college student and she needed to have a diet that consisted of something more than three square meals of ramen a day. She wiped the counters, mopped the floors, cleaned tables, restocked the food, counted the money, and threw away all the trash- all by herself. Normani better freaking love her for this.

Close to an hour later she was nearly done when she collapsed against the counter from exhaustion, resting her head in her arms, trying her best to block out real-world responsibilities like all the studying she still had to do later on tonight.

The young barista was actually doing a great job and was close to nodding off while still standing when the bell over the door chimed.

Lock the door. Damn it, Camila knew she forgot to do something.

"Sorry we're closed," Camila said from her slumped position behind the counter, not even bothering to look up. Her eyes felt so damn heavy she just couldn't muster up the will to open them.

"Okay sorry, but I really need to use a phone. And quickly," said a raspy voice, followed by rapidly approaching footsteps.

Camila's interest was piqued and looked up to see something she would've bet a million dollars she never would see in her lifetime.

Lauren Jauregui was standing right in front of her, in dark jeans and an old, worn t-shirt (but still looking glamorous), with her eyes darting around nervously with a pleading look on her face.
Camila froze instantly.

Lauren Jauregui.

She couldn't believe it. This wasn't something that happened to her. The brown-eyed girl definitely wasn't that lucky. She was the kind of person to stay up all night doing homework only to have it not be due the next day. She was the kind of person who would trip and drop her slice of pizza on the ground after she already paid for it. She was not the kind of person that randomly runs into beautiful celebrities.

Quickly she glanced around, looking for hidden cameras somewhere, thinking maybe she was being punked. Dinah was probably getting her back for when she covered her car in saran wrap. That bitch.

"Please?" Lauren asked again after Camila continued to be silent. "Look I'll take as many pictures with you as you want but may I please use your phone?"

The barista stood there with her mouth still agape, still unable to form words. She honestly couldn't believe it. Like, this was THE Lauren Jauregui. Grammy winner, the singer-songwriter turned recent actress Lauren Jauregui. And she was asking Camila for help and how was it possible she was even prettier in person and do you know how many people would kill to be in her position and why was Lauren Jauregui even here and god why couldn't she breathe?

"Y-you-you're....I don't-" she stumbled out clumsily.

Lauren to her credit didn't roll her eyes at Camila's inability to from sentences like the barista expected but gave her a tight smile instead. It was clear that the famous singer was in some kind of distress. And when their eyes met and Camila took in the bright green eyes she had only ever seen through a screen, she snapped out of her stupor.
