ALASDAIR HAS A SECRET, or at least, he had. He's been practising how to deteriorate objects surrounding him. He never told this to his father because, for once, he wanted to surprise him. For once, he wanted to have the upper hand. He wanted the old man to know that he can't always predict everyone's next move.
When they opened the door to his room, he relished the shock that had registered on his father's visage. It was, for the most part, the best present he's ever had. Everyone who knows his gift had thought that was it. It's limited. And yet, his bed has turned into dust. The walls have black marks that formed a single word. A name that sends a chill to anyone who dares to know them. Yamato. Alasdair is a Yamato, and a Yamato doesn't stop from climbing to the top. A Yamato will look for another mountain to climb until they've reached them all.
Everyone has to know it. Especially his father.

He's heard what happened to Declan. He froze everyone who tried to calm him down once he'd woken up. He could've destroyed them, but Eien showed up and begged him to not hurt anyone. As expected, Declan unenthusiastically agreed.
Alasdair himself could have saved Eien, but the curiosity as to how Jaxon would react won over.
Watanabe is in their private hospital. Eien can't heal him because he has to recover first. And Jaxon is still too furious and tells Eien to not help Watanabe unless it's necessary. Alasdair grumbles at the idea that Eien listens to Jaxon before he makes a move.
In a way, he agrees with Jaxon. Watanabe has to be punished.
Poor Noritaka. Once he comes back, he'll be confused. Alasdair isn't worried. He knows Noritaka will not drop out this time. Because there is Eien. He may never know how their talk made his friend feel alive again, but he knows Noritaka is now forever grateful.
He'll think about them later. For now, he enjoys watching their servants clean his room with a new terror in their eyes. He isn't an idiot. He knows that his father has Plan A-Z for everything.
The only thing he has to do now is practice more and never trust anything or anyone, not even his own dead mother. He should've known that she had told his father at least once about that secret passage. Of course. Because despite everything, she was in love with him.
Stupid woman.
Alasdair promises himself he will never do the same mistake again. If he has to be alert at all times with no rest, then so be it.
Now they know why they should fear him as much as they fear Kaito.
Alasdair, truthfully, is unstoppable.

End of Book 1. I'm actually already done with Book 2. I'm currently writing the third book, or at least, I'm trying to, cuz it's giving me so much stress. It's so much more mature than the first book that sometimes I cannot believe it all started with Jaxon's silly journey.
Who's your favourite character? Mine is Eien, which is weird since he barely speaks in the second half of this story. Also, he's not even a Point of View character *laughs*.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the first book of Beside Me series.
