16. "You're scaring me"

Mila's POV

After hearing what Jules had told me the other day I barely got any sleep. My eye bags were super dark but I didn't really care.

Why would Nate do that? Was he cheating on me?

I sighed when I got up from my bed to get ready for school. I decided to go with something simple like black biker shorts along with a baby blue oversized t-shirt that I had actually stolen from Kat's old closet.

Luckily my bruises went down a lot so I didn't really had to cover them with my clothes anymore, a little make-up was all they needed.

"You look so cool today", Lexi smiled as we got into the car. "Thanks, I really wasn't in the mood to wear anything nice and since Kat got rid of her old clothes", I grinned.

"Oh my god really? I have to ask if she still owns this Pink hoodie", Cassie smiled while she started to drive towards school.

After minutes we finally made it to school. We said our goodbyes and went separate ways.

Maddy came up to me before our first period "Hey bitch you wanna come over later? I need to see what dress I could wear to a date", she smiled.

"Oh sorry, I can't tonight. I'm meeting Nate, to be honest", I told Maddy. "Oh really?", she asked. "Yeah his father said that it would be good if we saw each other after the long break", I lied.

I didn't want her to know that we were meeting each other secretly.

"Oh okay, that's cute. Well, I'm gonna ask kat then", she smirked.

The day went by way too slow for my liking. I was feeling sick the entire time due to me having to talk to Nate tonight. I also tried my best to not see Jules at all today.

I just needed to talk to Nate before I could act right around her. Why was it all feeling so weird?

I rolled my eyes reading his message, why couldn't I stop thinking about him cheating on me. I mean he didn't fuck Jules she said that he kissed her but that hurt just as much.

Soon it was time for me to go. "Where are you going?", Cassie asked. "I'm going to meet Nate", I told her smiling. "Oh okay, be careful and have fun", she smiled and focused back on the TV.

I nodded and walked outside, I was still wearing the same outfit as I did this morning even though it got a little cooler outside.

After what felt like the longest 10 minutes of my life I made it to the motel. I quickly walked out and up the stairs since it started pouring rain.

When I made it near the room I was already soaked. Suddenly the door to the room opened and Maddy walked out of it yelling something at Nate.

She turned to look at me and stopped in her tracks, her eyes widening. Nate had to notice her weird behavior as he stuck his head out and also looked at me.

Tears started welling up in my eyes, this couldn't be true.

"I see you're at Kat's", I snapped at Maddy and started to walk away. I couldn't stand seeing them two. How could they do this to me?

"Mila wait!", I heard Nate yell as I ran over to the car. He caught up to me and turned me around by my arm roughly.

"Stop fucking touching me!", I yelled tears running down my cheeks. "Mila it's not what it looks like",
