11. "Ruin something real, for this?"

Nate's POV

The last couple of days Maddy had been texting me. Apparently, she and this Tyler guy had some weird fight. 

I actually didn't really care about her problems, I was really ready to say that I moved on to Mila. 

"Nate come on", Maddy whined as she caught up to me at the carnival as I was making my way over to our booth. "Maddy no, Jesus fuck off. I am with Mila and she makes me actually happy. She is sweet and can actually dress. Look at you you're looking like a hooker and my family never fucking liked you. They love her do you think I would ruin this? Ruin something real for this?", I asked getting angrier and angrier at Maddy. 

"But Nate our history is beautiful", Maddy said. "It was but you have a new boyfriend and I have moved on for good. Now get the fuck out of my face", I said stomping away from her. 

God, how can someone be so fucking annoying? 

Mila's POV

Cassie and I have been riding the attractions for some time having the time of our lives really. 

"That was so much fun", she laughed as we made it out. "It was", I giggled looking at my phone. 

Nate<3 to Mila 8:32 PM

I'm at the booth now can't wait to see you <3

I smiled at the text and quickly answered that I'd be there soon. "Nate just texted me. What about McKay?", I asked my cousin not wanting her to wait alone. 

"He's here as well. I will see you later?", she asked. "Yeah, have fun", I smiled we hugged each other quickly before walking separate ways. 

I made it to the Jacob's booth and greeted Aaron first, we met about a week ago and he was actually pretty chill. 

"Mila", Marsha smiled and pulled me into a quick hug. "Hey Mila", Cal smiled, you could tell he was very proud of his chili by the way he wasn't moving from the big pot. 

"Hey", I said back to both of them. 

"Hey Baby", Nate smiled and wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me in for a kiss. "Hey", I smiled. "You look amazing", he said kissing my cheek before letting go of me. "Thank you". 

"So what do you do the entire time here?", I asked. "We just stand around while our parents give out the chili. You wanna try some?", Nate asked making Cal turn around immediately. 

"Maybe later, I was just on the roller coaster and my stomach is feeling a little funny now", I chuckled. "That's exactly the reason why I hate rollercoasters", Cal winked at me smiling. 

After a couple of minutes, Cassie and McKay made it to the booth. He greeted everyone and Cassie stood next to me. 

"McKay, how is football?", Cal asked. "It's good the season just started", McKay answered as Cal handed him a cup of his chili. 

"Are you two dating now?", Nate asked McKay while he placed his arms on my shoulders hugging me into his chest. 

"Nah we're just chilling", McKay said and I could immediately see the hurt in Cassie's eyes. 

Cal quickly changed the subject back to football. "You know the most important thing to remember is never get distracted from your dreams. Like I always tell Nate luckily his girlfriend isn't a big distraction am I right Mila?", Cal asked jokingly. 

"Well McKay doesn't need to worry about that, we're just friends", Cassie said and stormed away tears welling up in her eyes. McKay looked at me confused, "Go after her", I said rolling my eyes.
