23. "Kissing is worse"

Mila's POV

After the Halloween party, I was woken up by Cassie coming into my room and laying in my bed. "Hey Cas", I yawned feeling slightly hungover.

"I have a problem and you need to help me", she said quietly. I immediately sat up straight "What?", I asked.

She told me to get dressed and left my room. I had no idea what she did or what has happened, I just assumed it was because of Daniel or McKay.

I quickly changed into a sweat set out of a pair of pink sweatpants and a pink zip-up. After I was done I went downstairs quickly eating a piece of bread since I was starving.

While I waited for Cassie I decided to text Nate.

Are you alive?

Immediately after hitting send, Cassie came downstairs, she looked exhausted and stressed. "Cassie are you okay?", I asked again.

"I don't know yet, come on", she said and we got into her car before she drove off. We kept driving until we made it to the pharmacy where she went in and left me in the car.

I smiled at his message, for some reason everything felt right with Nate after yesterday, I think something just clicked in both our minds.

Soon Cassie came back and handed me the plastic bag without saying a single word and driving off. I looked inside and saw that she bought two pregnancy tests.

"Cas-", "No we don't know it yet. I just know I'm late but that doesn't have to say anything", Cassie explained cutting me off.

I decided that maybe it was best for both of us if we stayed quiet. What would she do if she was actually pregnant? Cassie would be a good mom but was she ready? We're only 17.

My head was full of thoughts and suddenly I began asking myself what would I do if I was in her situation. To be honest every woman should be able to decide what happens to her body on her own.

But I personally think I would abort, not because I don't like kids or because I don't want to be responsible but only because I'd be scared I couldn't be able to give it the best life.

We parked the car before heading back in. The two of us walked into the bathroom immediately and she took the tests.

"Okay you have to lay them down and we wait for 3 minutes", I explained reading the instruction that came with the tests.

Cassie nodded and sat down next to me on the floor. I took her hand in mine knowing she's probably so stressed right now.

"Did you and Daniel?", I began asking not knowing if they fucked or not since this would be an important side note. "No, we just made out", Cassie explained.

The timer on my phone went off and we both shared a look before picking up the tests. "Fuck", Cassie muttered since they were both positive.

I was in literal shock as Cassie started to cry. I quickly wrapped her in my arms pulling her closer to me, what was she gonna do?

"Hey it's gonna be okay, we're gonna find a solution", I explained to her. "We need to talk to the girls, can you invite them over for an emergency meeting?", Cassie asked.

I nodded and got my phone out.

I closed my phone again and hugged Cassie. "You need to tell McKay", I explained to her. Since he was the Baby's dad he should have an opinion as well.

"I know but I'm so scared of what he'll say", Cassie explained. "Do you know what you wanna do?", I asked knowing it was early to ask that question but it was the most important.

"I really don't know", she mumbled.

Soon all the girls were sitting in our living room around the table.

"Wait so you wanna tell McKay that you made out with Daniel at the carnival and on Halloween?", Maddy asked, Cassie only started with this topic, "Bitch that's the craziest idea I've ever heard".

"But I don't have to tell it was Daniel", Cassie explained. "That doesn't make a difference", Lexi added.

"We just kissed it's not that bad", Cassie said defending herself. "Kissing is worse, it's more intimate", I added knowing how bad it hurts.

"I think you should tell him, not like you two will be together forever", Kat said making us all look at her in disbelieve.

"What the fuck is your problem Kat? You were a bad friend to me and now you're a bad friend to Cassie? Honestly, this whole new personality is annoying", Maddy snapped at Kat.

"I'm sorry that I didn't want to hear you rant about your psycho-ass ex-boyfriend who you've broken up with literally a million times", Kat snapped back.

"To be honest that was my lowest point but now I'm over it. Honestly, I miss the old Kat that still had a sense of humor and not this Kat who is a fucking cunt", Maddy added leaving us all speechless.

"Damn", BB added while taking a hit from her Juul. Without another word, Kat stood up and left the table.

Soon after that, they all left and the three of us went back into Cassie and Lexi's room. "What was the second thing?", Lexi asked.

"What?", Cassie asked. "You wanted to talk about two things", I explained knowing Cassie should tell her sister herself.

"I don't know anymore", she mumbled laying down in her bed while Lexi gave me a quick look. I just responded my shrugging with my shoulders.

After a couple of minutes, it was time for me to go downstairs to meet Nate. When I got outside he had his truck parked outside already. I quickly climbed in and kissed him.

"Are you okay?", he asked. "Yeah just a lot of stress right now", I explained to him. We went to his house to watch a movie.

As soon as I got inside I was greeted by Marsha, "Hey honey, I've missed you", she said hugging me. I hugged her back smiling "Hey".

"Hey Mila", Cal smiled. "Hello", I smiled back before Nate and I headed upstairs.

We started watching a movie while I was cuddled up to him. "Will you be my prom date?", he asked looking down on me. "Of course", I smiled and placed a kiss on his lips.

"Good I already bought us tickets", he said fake relieving making me punch him lightly. "You're an idiot", I laughed. "I know", he chuckled and kissing me.

McKay is going to come over tomorrow

"Is she okay?", Nate asked glancing at my phone. "Oh yeah totally she and McKay are just having a crisis you know", I explained focusing back on the screen.
