Mila's POV

The entire weekend I wasn't able to get out of my bed. I had a feeling Cassie was in her bed the entire time as well.

It made me sick thinking of what Nate did to me and he actually left some decent bruises on my wrist as well as my neck.

I barely ate anything or got up. My attention was always on my computer watching serval Netflix shows trying to hide away from everyone.

Nate had left multiple messages and calls on my phone, I just couldn't stand talking to him.

Nate <3 to Mila 7:22 AM

Are you coming to school today?

Nate <3 to Mila 7:30 AM

I miss you, Baby, can we talk?

Nate <3 to Mila 7:32 AM

Please answer me

This was just an example of what he would keep texting me. Actually, I hadn't had any time to answer him since I had to cover up the mess he left on me.

I actually finished my concealer making a note in my head to get a new one. Luckily I was able to cover up most of the bruises just with makeup and I decided to wear a white turtleneck long sleeve to school today.

Even though it was pretty hot outside I couldn't risk anything.

I got out of my room all put together trying my best not to look depressed. "Mila, I thought you died", Cassie joked as we all made it into the car.

"Shut up", I joked. "God I really don't want to go to school", she whined and I couldn't agree more with her.

Just the thought of going in there and listening to some stupid shit that I really didn't care about made me feel sick.

"Isn't it a little hot for a turtleneck?", Lexi asked looking at me confused. "I'm wearing shorts plus it looks good", I smiled.

"Okay true but still", Cassie argued as she was only wearing a skirt and a top. "I'm always cold you guys know that", I chuckled.

"True", Lexi smiled.

We soon made it to the school and got up walking our separate ways.

My first stop was the bathroom. Luckily no one was in here so I pulled down my turtle neck a little and saw that some of my makeup was already wearing off. I put on a new layer of powder trying my best not to sweat or anything.

The bruise on my wrist was pretty purple so it was harder to cover up. I sighed as I fixed everything up.

Maddy walked into the bathroom her eyes glued to me but I just rolled mine. We haven't talked since she was rude to me in front of almost the entire town.

"Can we talk?", she asked. "Why just so you can embarrass me again? I'm really not in the mood", I muttered and walked past her making her grip my wrist.

I immediately winced. "What's wrong?", she asked confused. "Nothing, I fell", I lied freeing myself from her grip, "I really have to go".

I made it out of the bathroom only to be met by Nate. "We need to talk", he said and grabbed my upper arm carefully dragging me with him.

We made it to the locker room of the school and he shut the door. "Nate class is about to start", I argued looking away.

"Mila please look at me", he pleaded and I gave in looking at him. He looked tired almost as if he hadn't got any sleep. "I'm so sorry baby I shouldn't have touched you. You don't deserve this I was just so mad at Maddy".

"It's fine I'm just super tired", I said. "Can I see?", he asked pointing at my neck. I rolled my eyes and pulled down the turtle neck.

"Fuck", he muttered. "There is like a whole makeup bag on my neck so no touching", I told him. Nate didn't say anything and just pulled me into his arms.

"I'm so sorry", he whispered again kissing my head. "I missed you", I told him looking up at him. "I missed you too", he whispered before connecting our lips.

Our kiss was long and sweet but got interrupted by the bell. "I will see you later okay?", I smiled and left the locker room heading to my class.

The first two classes were pretty much alright but I began to get more and more tired. In my third period, the principal showed up in our class.

"Miss Howard I need to talk to you in my office", he said and the entire class started to look at me. The rising heat in the classrooms and all the stares weren't doing any good to me.

I got up from my desk and immediately stumbled a little. "Are you okay?", my teacher asked clearly concerned for me. "Yeah uhm sorry", I muttered and followed the principal.

We went to his office and when we passed one of the rooms I saw Nate sitting in one of them talking to his dad.

I gave him a confused look and he just whispered an 'I love you'. Cal looked up at me and nodded towards me.

The principal made me go inside his office and sit down, "Are feeling okay? Or should we call the nurse to check you up?", he asked referring to me stumbling earlier.

"No uhm I'm fine. What's the reason you called me in here sir?", I asked a little worried.

"Your aunt will be here soon. We have been getting a lot of reports from concerned students that said you had massive bruises on your neck and your wrist", the principal explained.

"That's not true", I argued. "But someone said they saw them as you were in the bathroom earlier today. A student reported you winced off of pain from your wrist. And others said they could see it on your neck in class. Someone thinks Nate Jacobs did this to you due to an argument you two had?", he asked me.

"No. I don't have any bruises so why would Nate be the reason?", I asked playing dumb. "Miss Howard, if he is hurting you or you're not feeling safe to tell someone you can tell me no one needs to know", he said.

"I'm sorry but this is just dumb. I don't have bruises from anyone especially not from Nate he would never touch me", I explained as my aunt stormed into the office.

"What happened?", she asked concerned and looked me up and down immediately. "Please sit Miss Howard", the principal said and explained the situation to her.

I told her that Nate didn't do anything and that this was a whole misunderstanding and that I only had a hickey on my neck. My aunt believed me immediately but the principal was obliged to call the police.

"Suze I promise Nate didn't do anything", I whined as the officers walked along with us outside the school. Right behind us was the Jacob's family literally being escorted out of the school.

Good not like this whole mess couldn't get any worse, now the entire school saw Nate and I getting escorted by the officers.
