It was late afternoon, people were already filling the corridors like sardines in a can. The tight congestion wasn't helpful, but trying to spot her favorite all star cap was easier than writing her name blindfolded. It was not long until she determined that no one is sight is wearing her cap, so she wandered off the walkways, trying to find somewhere else instead.
However, she was sure about one other place. She needed to be quiet, wearing those muddy shoes with the plastic knocking against the floor every few seconds she wouldn't likely to be let in. Desperate times calls for desperate measures, with just her socks, the door was opened and a rush hint of old paper forced Chaewon to take a final deep breath. She was certain she was right, she was certain that she would be here.
Does the gods have something against her today? Nothing seems to be going as planned. Well.. Chaewon's plan anyways. The sofa was empty, and the windows were still dusted the same.
"Welp. Might as well.."
The empty cushion was lifted up. Her slim hands again reached into the furthest corner. But instead of the usual barrier of stacks of papers, her hands slides smoothly hitting the corner of the wooden board. It was gone.
"I haven't came here lately.. would she be worried? Is that why she left? Fuck."
It's like Fate is pranking her for the hundredth time today. She didn't even get a chance to read anything after the day she left the apology letter. Not because she couldn't be bothered, but because she knew who it was already, there was no need to find clues anymore. The part that she missed was that inside those words contained her feelings. Something that Chaewon knew, but doesn't know at all at the same time.
"It's not.. right. Think Chaewon, think. This is the only time I want you to workk."
Minju.. is calm, she thinks so much sometimes Chaewon gets a headache instead of her. If Chaewon wants to find her, needs to start thinking like her, if I was Minju right now.. What could I possibly be thinking? Or who could I possibly be following- Oh.
"Fucking hell, I'm coming to get your ass."
Chaewon curses underneath her breath while she makes her way quickly out of the library, grabbing her shoes she ran down the hallways squeezing pass everybody until she found her suspicion target. She dropped her shoes on the floor immediately and grabbed their hoodie's collar.
"Yena you asshole what did you say to her?!"
"Woah, woah. Chilll, what's up with you being all angry today huh. Nothing going as you wanted? Serves you right."
Yena didn't care so much, according to her calculations this assures that Chaewon didn't find Minju. Well how could she have found her? She is somewhere else doing something. Yena was the one who tricked her to, but it was for an obvious reason.
"You're going to hell. Now tell me what the fuck did you tell her?"
"Nothing."
"Nothing is not an option for you."
Chaewon didn't take it as a joke. This is serious. She needs to know how much Minju knows about everything already.
"Kim Chaewon! Explain why was my camera inside your bag?!"
You can call this luck, or the complete opposite of that, but an interference happened before Chaewon could have gotten an answer, she did run away from the closing ceremony since the start.
"And why were you going through my bag?!"
"Don't talk back you ruined the group photo by running away first!"
