"Chaewon I found it!"

"What? We're not gonna get scold by Yujin?!"

Chaewon shouted behind her, before she went back and continue to read the only page available of the book. It was written in such neat cursive writing with a fountain pen. She wondered how long will this person keep up with the neatness.

"It looks like a diary to me.. but still.. interesting.."

Chaewon wasn't buying the fact that this book was going to based on someone's fantasy. It sounded too much like a dairy, just with character changes maybe. She flipped the book around trying to find the name of who might have owned this, she gave up since it didn't have anything indicating who it may belong to. It was brand new to top it up.

"Bro what are you doing? We gotta go before the school locks up."

"Oh shit yeah."

Chaewon quickly shuts the book, and slid it back underneath the cushion of the sofa at the corner of the library. Not noticing that she accidentally pressed a little too hard on the thin paper, making a noticeable crease.

-

"Where was it hiding?"

"Underneath the lockers in the changing room. Probably slipped out while I took my hoodie off or something."

"At least we found it. I couldn't even dare to imagine what would happen if we didn't."

Chaewon's whole body was shaking in relief. Yena just didn't even think about it. The thought was too scary for the both of them.

The thought (if you're curious) was that one of them would go up to Yujin and said that they have lost the key to the gym. Yujin, not only she looks scary with those heights, has some good bit of strength. She always had this tough looking posture, and eyes glaring rock solid paired with her cold tone of speaking. Normally she is a nice person with an energetic aura though, it's only when she's wearing that captain label on the court, that Yena and Chaewon is so scared of.

Both of them made their way pass the gates barely in time. They apologized to the ground keeper before they walked down the road together.

"Oh yeah, forgot to ask. What are you taking next year?"

"We're almost seniors now right? Tough choice for me.."

"Are you even gonna graduate, Yena.."

"Chaewon same with you.."

Both of them went silent for a second, before the weight of their bags didn't matter anymore, they just start throwing fists at each other's bodies. Eventually they got tired and stopped.

"Okay we're both dumb as shit. Just admit it."

"Who started the fight may I ask, Miss Choi Yena?"

"Shut up."

Chaewon laughed at Yena's defeat. She purposely let Chaewon win this time, because if it wasn't for her, they might not be able to walk back home in leisure like this.

"Well, we have a whole term and a summer to think about it, we just have to survive ya know."

"Agreed. Well, here's your stop. See you tomorrow then, maybe tonight if you wanna play games."

"Of course, is there any day you don't want to play games?!"

Yena held a fist up but decided to throw it into the air. Chaewon stuck her tongue before running across the road back to her house.

The morning arrived, it was still early so not much students were outside making unnecessary noises. The library was tranquil. Even though one person has already made her way inside.

She stood there speechless, starring at the small crease made at the corner of her paper. She didn't know who had found her hidden notebook nor how to react to the situation.

It was too small of a problem so she didn't care much. She hopes that this person doesn't come up here and go through her notebook without her permission like this again.

Carefully, she lifted her fountain pen up, and neat scribbles started to produce out of those slim hands. She didn't write too much this time, she was being careful of someone else might be secretly reading this.

"Whoever you are, please don't find my notebook again."

She pushed her hands together tightly and said her prayers underneath her breath, overlooking the fact that she had left her notebook at a public place, even sliding it back into the same exact position before she left.
