"That's it I guess."

"Nice."

Chaewon actually wanted to say more than that, after observing the perfectly chiseled beauty in front of her for a good while, she wanted to compliment everything that was in front of her. It was just pretty. Because fuck those imagery, how dare it wants to compare to the being sitting here right now. Minju was just pretty to Chaewon. But of course, she didn't dare to say it. Chaewon isn't someone who would compliment people easily in that way.

Before the awkward silence of Minju just starring at her desk and Chaewon scanning though every inch of Minju's face could happen. The teacher decided to stir up the tension again.

"Alright class, end of your useless discussion. Oh have I told you? The assignment is due in a week from now on."

"What?! We still have a whole fucking semester to do this shit. Why in a week?"

"Because it is what it is. Miss Kim Chaewon. I've seen you are still lucky to have my only A+ student as your partner. With that kind of opposite I wonder what will it end up like.."

The teacher was not only talking about their completely opposite grades of Minju who already has college offers and Chaewon who is not even going to graduate if her scores doesn't shot up. But also their volume in the classroom, the one who doesn't stop shouting, and the one who never spoke at all.

"Woah. A+ huh.."

Chaewon was stunned. She knew Minju was good at studying from all the awards that was announced on the notice board. But she didn't knew Minju was gonna be this good. Inside she felt like she had just won in life.

"Will you.. help me?"

Chaewon looked back at Minju after having a small quarrel with the teacher, only to caught her starring. She had a pretty soft smile on her face, one that looked like she was daydreaming. Chaewon also broke out a small smile, she didn't say anything after that. She just waited until Minju realizes, that the other was starring back at her too.

"Oh! Sorry, umm. Sure, I guess. You won't pass this year if you don't."

"Haha, teasing you is fun as they say~ Well thank you. How about 2 days from now we go?"

"Where? The only possible place is the stream behind the school buildings."

"Pfft. Everyone's gonna go there. Let's go somewhere different.. like the river downtown!"

At this point Chaewon knew that it was close to being the end of the lesson. She didn't even have to look at the clock to know. She just got up, still keeping eye contact to those pretty eyes of Minju. And just slide the chair back to the table in front of Minju's desk.

"Is that allowed?"

"Think about all the things you could write about it. See you there!"

After she had said that, the bell rung straight afterwards. She grabbed her backpack and ran out of the class, leaving Minju behind. She was confused and at a loss of what just happened. She didn't even have a chance to tell her that this project asked specifically for the stream behind the school.. but it was too late.

-

"Seriously? Just go outside and sit properly on the bleachers?"

"How about no? Maybe you should do something too."

"I don't have a crush on Kim Chaewon.."

Hitomi starred into her best friend's face with disappointment, she was looking for Minju to do some studying with, but it turned out to be another one of her best friend's daydreaming times of the afternoon.

"Isn't it kind of too convenient? This library window faces perfectly towards the pitcher position on the fields.."

Hitomi joined Minju in dozing off onto the busy grass with people running around shouting. She had no interest in baseball whatsoever, but her friend here who literally will not stop looking through this thin glass until the said person had left the field.

"Woah, woah. What is this."

Until Hitomi's eyes caught sight onto the stark white papers sitting underneath Minju's slim arms, hands clenching tight onto a fountain pen.

"Nothinggg, leave me alone now I'll catch up with you later tonight okay?"

"You better."

Minju hastily closed her notebook and brings up a textbook pretending to focus on her studies instead. Hitomi could only rolled her eyes slightly and left the library.

In her view, Minju had been liking this person for far too long. She really wants Minju to finally confess to Chaewon, knowing that nobody in the world would even dare to reject her. But being the best friend she is, she wanted Minju to do her own thing, until it reaches a certain point that she couldn't bare to watch her best friend being crazy anymore. Then she would like to act things in favor of Minju.

On the hand, Minju felt something strange down her spine. Her brows are almost tied together and her lips are not staying still.

"Someone's been reading my writing again.."

She carefully investigated the evidence that the mysterious culprit had left behind, but it was just a crease on the paper about the size of a quarter of a pencil lead. This time it was less obvious, but it wasn't small enough to escape Minju's sharp eyes.

"Fine, I'll leave them a warning then."

The edges of her lips lifted up slightly, a bright idea sparked inside her head as she pulled out a post it note from her bag.

Using a colored ball point pen, still in the neatest handwriting she could manage at the point, slowly writes a kind yet cautious message towards the unwelcome reader.

"That'll do the trick."

Minju thought to herself before closing the notebook and leaving out a noticeable amount of the post it outside of the pages.

She carefully slides the book back under the cushion, before leaving the library quietly.
