CHAPTER NINE

HIS FIST CLOSED. He stayed for awhile inside his car, trying to calm his self down after seeing the same place after years, before he decided to step out of the car.

Kahit pa ayaw nyang sundin ang utos ng ama nya na pumunta sa bahay nito. He still came. Hindi dahil wala syang pagpipiliin kundi dahil may pakiramdam syang may mahalaga syang dapat malaman.

"Nandito kana pala sir! Sasabihan ko lang si señor na nandito na kayo." magiliw na bungad ng mayordoma ng mansyon

Alexendris roamed his eyes around the room. It's the same as the day his mother died. Ito parin ang lugar kung saan naghirap ang mama niya. He snorted.

Hell in disguise

"Alexendris! Hindi ko inaasahan na pupunta kang talaga. How's you?"

Bumaling ang mga mata nya sa babaeng mas matanda lang ata sa kanya ng limang taon. She's wearing a floor-length red dress even if there's no ocassion. Maliwanag ang ngiti but her eyes reflects evilness behind that smile.

She's Bernadette. His father's third wife.

"I get even better now that I stopped seeing your face." he said directly

Alexendris saw how her smile almost fade but because she's a great pretender. Her smile remains.

"Is that how you great your mother? Matagal kang nawala. Your dad missed you." dagdag pa nito

He walked casually in the sofa and slumped himself. His blue eyes bore once again at her. Nakita nya ang simpleng pagpasada ng tingin nito sa kanya.

"I only have one mother and it's not you woman and even if I die. My father would never miss me. Para saan? He have four wives. Sapat na yun para bigyan sya ng tagapagmana." pasaring nya

Nakarinig sya ng yabag. Paparating na ang ama nya kaya sinadya nya iyong sabihin. Para iparinig dito na wala syang interes sa kahit anong bagay tungkol sa kayamanan ng pamilya. He'd rather die in poverty than carry the same curse that killed his mother.

"Alexendris."

Alexendris stood up to face his father. His jaw clenched. Kasama nito ang unang asawa at pangatlo na nasa likod.

"What is this? Reunion of your wives?" He spat sarcastically

"Don't talk like this to your father—"

"Shut up!" He cut Esmeralda, the first wife, "I am not talking with you."

Esmeralda glared at him but didn't spoke netheless. He knew how much she hated him.

"I told you to come here to discuss important things not to insult and disrespect your mother, son." mariing saad ng ama

"You can discuss it to me without showing your whores, father."

Napasinghap ang lahat sa talas ng pananalita nya. Napapikit na lang ng mariin ang ama nya.

"Leave us alone." utos ng ama

Tumalima naman ang lahat at iniwan sila sa sala. Dumaan ang mahabang katahimikan bago nagsalita ang ama nya.

"You kept turning your responsibilities as the first born. Wala akong pagpipilian kundi ilipat sa kapatid mo ang lahat ng ari-arian, Alexendris." seryosong saad nito. "You're the only one I trusted when it comes to this matter that's why I am determined you to take over everything."

Tumigas ang anyo dahil hindi niya mapunto kung ano ang nais nito. His father doesn't trust his brother. Hindi nito basta-basta ipapasa sa iba ang lahat ng ari-arian ng mga Courner.
