'babeee,' gina yelled from the bathroom

rosa ran to the bathroom, 'did you do it? did you check?' she was more excited than she wanted to admit

'i don't wanna look, can you do it?' she grinned at her wife the way she always did when she wanted something

rosa stepped forward and held gina's hand before turning over the pregnancy test. gina looked away, too nervous to look. tears began to form in rosa's eyes, she had no words.

'did you look yet? shit, is it bad?' gina turned around and looked. 'wha-' rosa kissed her.

they stayed wrapped in a tight hug for a few minutes before they were interrupted by 'MOMMA,' from the other room

rosa pulled away from the hug and gina frowned. 'i guess you better get used to it,' rosa smiled walking out of the bathroom and into the living room. gina couldn't help but grin at rosa's comment as she followed her into the next room.

'you okay my princess?' rosa picked her up and asked her. iggy just hugged her. 'aww, did you just want a hug?' rosa smiled and iggy nodded into rosa's shoulder.

gina was just stood there smiling at her wife and daughter. she loved the way rosa was with iggy and how much iggy loved rosa. iggy was six months when she first met rosa and rosa didn't exactly love her.

'hey come in,' gina smiled and kissed her then girlfriend as she entered what had been her apartment.

'hey,' rosa smiled. 'i uh... i bought this for the kid, i didn't think an actual knife was a good idea because babies put like everything in their mouth,' rosa said as she held up a rubber knife.

iggy babbled at the new face, then laughed at herself.

'you know, this will actually help. she's teething like crazy right now,' gina said as she put it in the freezer.

'i don't know if it's baby brain or whatever but i don't think that's meant to go in the freezer,' rosa said as she sat up on the kitchen counter.

'i know that, i'm not stupid.'

'ehh... if you say so,' rosa interrupted the rest of her sentence

gina frowned at her before continuing, 'the coldness helps numb her gums duh.'

'obviously, who doesn't know that...' rosa replied sarcastically

gina was making them both a drink, herbal tea for rosa and coffee for herself, when iggy began to cry. 'what's up princess? it's okay, i'm right here'

the child continued to cry, 'can you pick her up and hold her for a sec.'

'me?'

'no, the ghost that lives with us. yeh you,' she laughed.

rosa walked over to the child reluctantly and picked her up, holding her at arms length because... kids. gina watched her and laughed.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

rosa had put iggy down and had been saying gina's name for a couple of minutes whilst she'd been zoned out but 'oi diaz!' made her attention come back into the room.

'you good?' rosa asked

gina smiled, 'remember the first time you met ig?'

rosa rolled her eyes but she couldn't help but smile at the memory of her younger self with her daughter. 'yes i do, it was... whatever are we gonna tell her or what?'

gina smiled and sat iggy down on the couch before holding rosa's hand, 'hey princess, you know how lilly's mommy has a baby in her tummy.'

iggy and lilly had been joined at the hip since iggy's first day of nursery.

iggy nodded and smiled at the mention of lilly.

'mommy's got a baby in her tummy too,' rosa continued on from where gina left off, smiling.

iggy was 3 so she got what they were saying and smiled. 'YAY!' she yelled as she ran off to play.

gina turned to face rosa, 'she's happy i guess.' gina smiled at her wife.

'you're amazing gi, i love you so much,' rosa smiled.

'i love you too,' she replied as she leaned into a hug.
