Chapter 8 : Bandana Waddle Dee - The Reunion

'Kirby!' Bandana Waddle Dee and King Dedede jumped on Kirby, who poyoed happily in reply.

'Oh, boy, Kirby! I thought you were actually dead!' Dedede picked Kirby up like he was his son. 'Ah, I'm just so glad!'

'Kirby, don't do that ever again!' Bandana Dee almost cried.

Meta Knight just stared at Kirby, looking relieved and tired. But at last, he opened his mouth.

'Living this long shows how much you've grown, Kirby,'

'Sir... That's not what you're supposed to say!' Bandana Dee said.

Meta Knight's right hand twitched, his eye colour turning purple.

Dedede grinned. 'Yeah, Meta Knight, you're supposed to say "Kirby, I have a-"'

Suddenly, something pierced the tree next to Dedede with lighting speed. B.W. Dee tensed, thinking it was one of Wilanda's thorns.

But it was a knife. One of Meta Knight's sample knives.

Dedede blinked, looking at the knife that was stabbed next to him, then at Meta Knight, gulping.

'King, you'd better watch out, because the next one might be aimed at you,' Meta Knight said as if he was smiling though his eyes weren't.

'Okay, okay. Sorry!' Dedede squeaked.

Kirby giggled as he said that, looking like he didn't know what was going on.

'Well,' Meta Knight coughed. 'Since we're all back together, all we have to do is to kill Wilanda and to fix Kirby's spaceship. And also, eat a maxim tomato when we get to the tents, Kirby. We have tents, and you'll have the pink one.'

Kirby nodded in reply and said something that Bandana Dee couldn't understand.

'Sure, no problem,' Meta Knight smiled since he could understand what Kirby said.

'What did he say?' Dedede asked, who was the same as Bandana Dee and couldn't understand Poyo language.

'He said thank you for saving him,' Meta Knight said like it was obvious, which seemed to piss Dedede.

'Yes, indeed!' B.W. Dee yelped, anxious to change the subject. 'Is there anything about the monster you found out?'

'Yes, actually.' Meta Knight replied darkly. 'I found out that Wilanda's thorns are poisonous, though the white ones aren't. And it's quite a strong poison, too. When Wilanda threw the purple thorns at us, I dodged it, and the trees that were behind me sizzled, which meant the poison was so strong that it was starting to burn trees.'

'That's... not good,' Dedede sighed, and B.W. Dee sighed as well in agreement.

'Yes, so we have to be careful. Nothing more?'

'Nope,' Dedede said.

'No,' Bandana Dee said.

'Poyo,' Kirby shook his head as well.

'Okay then, let's go home,'

As they said that, they started to walk home, keeping silent and silently celebrating Kirby's return.

It didn't take long for them to get to the tents. When they got to the tents, it was already morning, and the sun was already high up in the sky. When they got home, Meta Knight made Kirby eat a whole maxim tomato for his stamina and health, but without the kissing, which made B.W. Dee disappointed. Kirby healed quickly and was making happy poyo sounds and talking to Meta Knight. Dedede got Kirby's spaceship to a machine fixing shop and paid lots of money.

Back in his tent, Bandana Waddle Dee sighed, happy that things were getting better. But deep inside, he knew something was going to happen. 

Something bad.
