After they thought Kirby died, it was just... chaotic.
Bandana Dee couldn't see any of his friends because of tears.
King Dedede was bawling his eyes out, wiping rivers of tears away as they were replaced with more.
Meta Knight was the worst. Tears were falling out of his eyes, which were dark grey in depression. He choked out sobs a couple of times, and Bandana Dee couldn't blame him. What did you expect? His crush just died saving him.
Meta Knight also succeeded in getting out the poisonous thorn now, which was obviously making him cry even more since Kirby wasn't reacting when he got it out.
After about 15 minutes, Bandana Dee couldn't cry anymore. It was just too sad. His best friend has just died, after everything he has done. He saved everyone and everything.
But he knew that they couldn't stay there forever.
As Bandana Dee wiped tears away, he looked at Meta Knight. Meta Knight was still holding Kirby's hand, even though he was dead.
Well, that's cute.
B.W. Dee didn't know why in the world he was shipping Meta Kirby now, after everything.
King Dedede wiped more tears away, and Bandana Dee offered him a handkerchief. Dedede took it. Dedede also looked at Meta Knight, and back at Bandana Dee.
What should we do with him? Dedede shot him a look.
B.W. Dee shook his head. I don't know. But maybe we should tell him something...
'Sir Meta Knight...' Bandana Dee whispered. 'I'm sorry... after everything.'
Meta Knight was silent.
'...Meta Knight...' Dedede placed a hand on Meta Knight's shoulder sadly. 'You know we have to give up. We have to move on... Kirby's-'
'Okay, I've got it, so leave me alone!' Meta Knight snapped, making Dedede back away.
Bandana Dee couldn't believe Meta Knight would be so fierce to King Dedede. But he still couldn't blame him. Meta Knight just didn't want to admit that Kirby was dead.
'...Sorry,' Bandana Dee said. 'We'll leave you alone for a while until you... yeah.'
Bandana Dee awkwardly pulled Dedede with him as he walked away from Meta Knight.
'...He needs time, Lord.'
'I know...' Dedede sighed, again glancing at Meta Knight.
Bandana Dee still couldn't believe that Kirby was dead. One of the strongest and kindest creatures he ever knew, though he tried to kill one of his kinds. But why? Why Kirby?
He felt tears fill up his eyes again, but he blinked them away.
B.W. Dee also looked at Meta Knight with the body of Kirby. Meta Knight was now stroking Kirby's forehead and holding his hand at the same time.
Bandana Dee felt his heart hurt because of the view.
Poor Sir Meta Knight... He must be so heartbroken...
Meta Knight let go of Kirby's hand and touched Kirby's chest, where his heart was.
Suddenly, Meta Knight jumped, making Bandana Dee and Dedede jump as well.
'...What?' Meta Knight muttered.
What what? Bandana Dee wondered.
Meta Knight touched Kirby's chest again. Kirby's chest seemed to be... moving?
Bandana Dee saw Meta Knight widening his eyes, and his expression getting clearer.
'Kirby... He's...' Meta Knight croaked out a laugh. 'He's alive!'
'What?!' King Dedede and Bandana Waddle Dee yelled in unison.
How can Kirby be alive? He's dead! Bandana Dee thought. But we didn't check his heart after we thought he was dead... We must still have time!
Bandana Dee and Dedede ran to Kirby's side and touched Kirby's chest. Sure enough, his heart was moving.
Meta Knight grabbed the maxim tomato that was next to him. He cut it in half with a knife, then cut one half into half again, so there was one big piece and two smaller pieces. He handed the small pieces to King Dedede and Bandana Dee, one each.
'Okay. This is our only chance.' Meta Knight said breathlessly.
Bandana Dee nodded in agreement.
He ate the quarter maxim tomato. Almost immediately, his cuts and his injuries disappeared. Meta Knight ate his half maxim tomato too, and his injuries started to disappear as well. Bandana Dee almost asked where Kirby's maxim tomato was, until...
Meta Knight food kissed Kirby.
Bandana Dee mentally screamed in happiness.

When Meta Knight pulled away, colour had already returned to Kirby's cheeks. His injury on his chest slowly disappeared. But he didn't wake up.
'Kirby,' Bandana Dee was whispering, and he didn't know why. 'Come on, wake up. You can do this.'
Meta Knight and Dedede looked at Bandana Dee, and then back at Kirby.
'Kirby, wake up! We need you, you know,' Dedede chimed in.
'Kirby,' Meta Knight grasped Kirby's hand. 'Wake up. You can make it. I need you...You know I love you too.'
On that word, Kirby's eyes opened.
