Chapter 12 : Bandana Waddle Dee - Dismay

'So the power stone is the source of the galaxy?' Bandana Waddle Dee asked worriedly. 'And Kirby and Wilanda can destroy the galaxy anytime now?'

'Yes, and not really actually.' King Dedede coughed. 'Kirby can destroy the galaxy if he destroys all of the power stones in the galaxy. But if it was one power stone, the planet gets destroyed.'

'That's still not good,' Bandana Dee admitted. 'All of the innocent people living here will die!'

'And if that was Popstar...' Meta Knight shivered. 'All our friends will die.'

Bandana Dee thought about that in horror. All of his brother and sister and friends Waddle Dees will die, and King Dedede and Meta Knight's friends, the Ebrum family and all of the innocent creatures in Popstar will die.

'We can't let this happen.' King Dedede demanded, and Meta Knight and B.W. Dee nodded in agreement.

'But the problem is...' Meta Knight grimaced. 'Kirby- He's one of the strongest creatures in the world. If we're going to fight him, it's going to be almost impossible.'

'Any plans?' Bandana Dee asked hopefully.

'Try just defending Kirby's attack, and when we get a chance, we can stop Wilanda.' Meta Knight muttered. 'But it's easier said than done.'

'Yeah, right.' Dedede sighed. But he looked at Meta Knight and sighed. 'Meta Knight, stop looking so sad. You're going to make me cry!'

'I'm not looking sad,' Meta Knight murmured. His eyes were very gray, which represented deep sadness.

'I know, sir,' B.W. Dee felt like Meta Knight was going to cry. 'Your crush just got caught by an enemy who can control creatures. It must feel very sad.'

'Say that word again, Bandana Dee.' Meta Knight said weakly, glaring at him.

Dedede laughed hoarsely. 'Meta Knight, can I ask when you started to love Kirby and why you love him.'

Meta Knight sighed. 'Sure.'

'And?' Bandana Dee shuffled over.

'Well, I met Kirby before he came to Cappy Town. We were enemies, you see. Our biggest fight was when I tried to conquer Dreamland! Though every time, I lost the fight-'

'And got your mask cracked open?' Dedede asked.

'How did you-'

'Kirby told us,' Dedede said with a smile, though that smile was barely seen.

'Did he tell you what was under that mask?' Meta Knight questioned quickly without looking at them.

'No,' B.W. Dee replied, wondering why he asked that.

'Well,' Meta Knight coughed. 'After a few times of fighting, I knew that it was useless to be enemies with Kirby anymore, so I decided to... be a friend. But I sometimes tried to give him payback. Then, he came to Cappy town. I sometimes went on your side, like that time Kirby and I battled. I was training myself properly, so I was able to battle Kirby easily. But I didn't feel like... killing him, so I decided to just do it like training Kirby. Do you remember Chilli Dog? I got paralyzed by him, but Kirby saved me by killing it, so I was grateful for him.'

'So that's why you saved him at the race?' Dedede asked.

'Yes. I also tried to help him anytime when I could. I also started training him so he can become a great star warrior. But ever since Kirby defeated Nightmare, I started to have a crush on him, though never got a chance to tell him properly. But I tried to tell him 3 days ago and failed again. He also saved me again when I got trapped in the amazing mirror. We went on adventures together, with you two as well... But I sometimes got brain-washed and had to fight Kirby again a couple of times as well. Every time we worked together, my feelings grew stronger, but I just couldn't tell Kirby. And now... I will never be able to tell him.' Meta Knight sadly looked down again.

'We'll save him, Meta Knight. I know we will.' Dedede insisted.

Meta Knight sighed, but smiled a little and nodded. 'Thank you,'

Bandana Dee felt a little better now. 'We now just have to stop Wilanda and Kirby,'

Meta Knight stood up, looking up at the now cloudy sky.

'Kirby... We're going to save you,'

With that, B.W. Dee and King Dedede stood up as well, and they all started running all over again.
