Be My Valentine? -Carl Grimes Imagine

Hey guys, this is my small entry to Valentines day. It's actually a scene from a book, that I write private. I thought I could use it as an Imagine.

{Your POV}

I walked with Carl behind the group, while we searched some place to stay at. He pushed me playfully with his shoulder and I pushed back.

We actually were good friends and we always had fun together. Also, when anyone of us is frustrated, the other brings him a smile on his face.

Beths dead was a few days ago, but I swear I can feel her protect us. She is kind of like our Guardian angel.

We walked already for many hours and searched for sanctuary, but we didn't find anything. I already knew that we need to sleep in the woods or everyone in a small room of any house.

"So" Rick began. "We have a plan for tomorrow. Tyreese, Noah, Michonne, Glenn and me will go on a run tomorrow. We will search for the place where Noah was before, to look if we can find sanctuary there. When you wake up tomorrow, we will already be gone, but you can always reach us."

With that we built us a small camp. We hung up some barbed wire fence around it, but we also needed someone to go on watch.

I went to sleep early, because I was really tired from walking the entire day. I slept in a tent with Maggie. Glenn slept somewhere else, because he needed to stand up early in the next morning.

As I woke up, Maggie still slept. I heard Carl speaking outside. But I didn't hear anyone answering him. I think he spoke to himself.

I listened to what he said and heard him say: "Okay, you'll make it. Don't be weak. Today is the day." I asked myself what was special about today. I lost my feeling for time a few years ago. I can only tell that it's between winter and spring.

I stood up and brushed my hair with the brush from my backpack. I dressed up in a normal jeans, a T-shirt and black boots, like always.

I opened the tent and heard Carl stop speaking. I walked to Carl and said "Mornin"

"Oh, hey, why are you up already? "

"I went early to sleep yesterday. I was very tired from walking around and all that..."

"Uhm. Okay."

"Are you alright? You seem nervous or something."

"Yea. I think I'm alright. So, I want to ask you something."

"Go ahead."

"I want to show you something later on. Only if you want to."

"Sure, why not. I have nothing to do today."

I walked away to Carol, who was also up already. I ate some bread we found before in a store. I wasn't very hungry, but eating nothing in the morning isn't very healthy.

Maggie stood up with a smile on her face. I had no idea why was everybody acting so weird. She walked to us and sat down next to Carol. She ate and was still smiling. I didn't understand the world anymore.

As I ate my bread, I stood up and searched Carl. I wondered where he was, because I didn't find him. I thought he wanted to show me something.

I walked back to my tent and started to read a book. It was a romantic book and I really liked the girl in there. I also loved the love story in there and wished mine was like this also, but well, in the middle of an apocalypse, it will be hard to find something like this.

I read a few hours until I heard someone unzip the tent. It was Carl.

"Hey (Y/N), come on, I will show you something awesome."

"Alright, let's go." I said and stood up

Carl walked straight into the woods and I followed him. I wondered where he brought me.

I heard something like a waterfall, but I wasn't sure. It was surprisingly warm for the beginning of spring, but I liked it.

As we were at the place Carl wanted to show me, I couldn't breath. It looked awesome. It was a small waterfall with an also small lake in front of it.

"Oh wow, that looks awesome Carl."

"I know right? Do you like flying?" he asked with a smirk on his face.

"Wait, what. Dare you-.."

With that Carl took me in his arms bridal style and threw me in the water. I swam and saw him jump in the water too.

We were with our normal clothes in the water. I started laughing and splashed water at him. It was funny and we stayed in there for some minutes.

As we went out of the water, I was a little cold. Carl took my hand and started to run somewhere. I didn't know where, but it was fun.

We stood on a big meadow. The sun was shining in it and it looked like a perfect photo. He run with me to the middle of the meadow, where we both laid down and took a breath.

"That is awesome. Thanks for showing me all this." I said.

"Sure, I found it this morning while walking around and thankfully there were only a few walkers around."

We laid there, watching the small clouds in the sky. It wasn't an awkward silence or something, it was a nice silence, to chill out and relax or something.

"Uhm. (Y/N), I have a question. Do you know which day is today?"

"No, but I wondered before."

"Really? Okay." He turned to me and laid with one elbow on the ground. "What is between winter and spring? It's something couples celebrate."

"Oh my god, how could I forget about that? It's Valentines day." I said.

"I wanted to ask you: Will you be my Valentine?"

I was surprised by his question, but also happy.

"Yes I will" I said, smiling like an idiot.

He rolled himself over me and started to kiss me. It was perfect, I felt like the girl from my book and I couldn't believe that this all was real.

This was actually my first real kiss, and it was awesome. As we finished the kiss, we both needed to take a breath and smiled. We stood up and walked back to our small camp.

As we were there, we heard Rick through the walkie-talkie saying to Carol "They don't need to see this"...
