Chapter 7: To Be Lost In The River

Mikasa's POV:

The rest of the school week was pretty nice. Eren talked more to me more even if I was the one who'll start a conversation. I still haven't asked about his personal life or about his audition tape yet, but hopefully, I can get some answers today.

After breakfast, I took a shower and started to change. I decided to wear a back dress that came to the knees and paired it with black boots.

As I exited my room, I saw my mom and dad in the doorway. My dad looked like he was saying goodbye, meaning another long shift at the hospital.

Mikasa: "Bye dad!" I yelled running at him and giving him a hug.

Dad: "Aww I'll see you in a few hours. Wait a minute. Why not I give you a ride to your date?"

I started turning pink and looked away.

Mikasa: "I-It's not a date dad," I said with a sweat droplet falling, "I'm just getting to know my duet partner a bit. It's the only thing we can do since he can't talk at the moment."

Dad: "I'm just teasing. Get in the car and I'll drop you off."

I got in the car and started heading to our meet-up spot. I wanted to first show him Mina street, our town's tourist street. There are cute little shops, interesting antiques, and a hot shop I love. We finally arrived at the end of Mina street. I got out and said bye to my dad and wished him luck.

I sat at a bench waiting. I started thinking about what could happen today. I just want him to smile and say the first words. That's it. That's my goal for this adventure. After a few minutes of my thoughts, I looked up and around. That's when I saw him and smiled

Eren's POV:

The rest of the school week was surprisingly calm. Doesn't change anything however, but I do slightly look forwarded to see what Mikasa wants to show me. Admittedly she has been getting me to talk more often. I feel slightly bad that she always has to start the conversation, but it seems to make her happy when we talk.

After breakfast, I took a shower and started to change. I decided to wear black Levi's (A/N: Don't even think about it), a maroon shirt, my black hoodie, and finally my converses. Armin and his parents already left, so I just left and started walking.

During my walk, all I could think about was what's going to happen today. Mikasa didn't really say anything besides exploring the town. She hasn't asked anything personal about me which is a relief. Although I can predict that today is a perfect opportunity for her to ask, so I'll be waiting for that. I finally reached Mina straight and was exhausted, I didn't think it'd be this far to walk. Luckily I always left earlier than I intended, so I was only fashionable late. I looked around and saw the brunette sitting alone on the bench. I walked towards her and she saw me and smiled
