Chapter 12: Stand By Me

Mikasa's POV:

I opened my eyes by the feeling of something vibrating. I leaned upwards and rubbed my eyes. It was morning and I was still at the cove. I looked back and saw Eren peacefully sleeping. I looked at him smiling before I looked over to see someone was calling my phone, it was Annie. 

Mikasa: "Hello?"

Annie: "Hey where are you and Eren? All of us are awake and you guys aren't here."

Mikasa: "Oh ya we both woke up early and decided to take a quick walk at the edge of the forest. We're heading back as we speak."

Annie: "Good to know you guys are safe. You guys didn't do anything, did you?"

Mikasa: "You're one to talk."

She hanged up instantly. I then started to poke surprisingly soft cheeks. His eyes finally opened and revealed those emerald eyes.

Mikasa: "Morning drooly."

Eren: "ughhh I give you a nice nickname and you call me that," he said stretching his arms.

Mikasa: "I haven't come up with anything yet, give me time."

Eren: "Sighhh drooly for now it is."

Mikasa: "Hahaha come on let's go. They're wondering where we're at."

We finally got back home and we're of course bombarded by questions. After navigating through the questions, we finally sat down and grabbed dinner. Armin and Annie sat in front of us.

Annie: "Ummm so umm... about last night and the closet."

Eren: "What about it? I remember we went to get you guys and you two were talking about feelings for other people. Right, Mika?"

Mikasa: "Right."

Thank you, they mouthed.

After a couple of hours, we all went to the fair. Everyone split up with their own pairs. I was with Eren and explored the fair. We passed a couple of stands when I spotted a big ass panda. Eren must've noticed and put down a dollar bill at the stand. It was a grappling hook game where you try and hook and grab a bottle. After several attempts. Eren started getting frustrated and turning red.

Eren: "What the fuck! This stupid game is impossible."

I then went back and sat down at the bench. He looked so disappointed in himself and I felt so bad that I decided to give my crack at it. I played it the first time and got the panda. I walked up to Eren pretending to be the panda.

Eren: "How did you do that first try?"

Mikasa with a low panda voice: "Who are you talking to? It's me, Keith."

Eren: "Keith the panda?"

Mikasa with a low panda voice: "Are you making fun of my name sonny?"

Eren: "No... I just feel bad that I wasn't able to win it for you."

Mikasa: "Awww Eren," I said as I dropped the voice and sat next to him, "You had a lot of patience just to win me this dumb panda and I find that sweet."

Eren: "I just wanted to give you a nice gesture."

Mikasa: "Eren just the fact you came here because of me, is a big enough gesture in itself."

Eren: "Ya I guess. You can keep the panda for yourself haha."

Mikasa: "Well duh. I won the stupid thing."
