Chapter 18: To The Moon And Back

Mikasa's POV:

Floch got up and walked towards me. I stood up and started to back away a bit till my back hit a column.

Mikasa: "W-What are you doing?"

Floch: "This."

He then pinned my shoulder's back and started leaning his face towards mine. I closed my eyes in fear, but before he can make contact, the door swung open. I looked over to see Eren. I knew that he saw what was happening, but before I can explain, and shook his head and ran. I ran out the door after him. Screaming his name at the top of my lungs, but he never looked back. I ran back inside to put on shoes and a jacket.

Before I left, Floch grabbed my arm tightly.

Floch: "Where are you going?"

Mikasa: "To Eren," I forcefully relived my arm from his grip, "oh and this is for what you pulled.

I grabbed his arm and flipped him over me. He landed outside and hard and before he could get up, I gave one good kick to his crotch. I locked the door behind me and ran towards Armin's house.

Once I got there, I started knocking frantically. That's when Armin opened the door and I accidentally started to knock on his head.

Armin: "OW!" rubbing his head.

Mikasa: "Oh my god. I'm so sorry! Where's Eren?"

Armin: "I don't know. He was supposed to be with you."

I then explained everything that had happened.

Armin: "That son of bitch!"

Mikasa: "I know, but that's not the point. I need to find Eren."

Armin: "Normally when he's upset he just leaves the house and doesn't return till the sun is down."

That's when I remembered the sunset at the cove.

Mikasa: "I know where he is!"

Armin: "Do you want me to come?"

Mikasa: "No. I need to fix this myself!"

I then started running for the forest. Once I got there, I made my way through the trees and finally made it to the overgrowth. I made my way through the shrubbery and made it to the other side. That's where I saw Eren sitting alone. I made my way towards him, but he must've heard me.

Eren: "Go away Mikasa."

Mikasa: "No. I need to explain what happened."

Eren: "NO! I had a very clear image about what I saw."

Mikasa: "It's not like that. He came onto me!"

Eren: "Ya right. You had an entire month to develop your relationship with him."

Mikasa: "You don't get to say that Mr. leaving without saying goodbye."

Eren: "I needed to leave."

Mikasa: "Why? You said you wouldn't leave me! You promised!"

Eren: "I LEFT BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!" shouting at the top of his lungs.

Tears started to fall out of his eyes. I needed him to say it without being emotional, so I let him scream.

Eren: "I LOVE YOU. THAT'S WHY I LEFT. Seeing you dance with someone hurts. Seeing you kiss someone hurts. Seeing you in love with someone hurts. because that someone isn't me. I wanted to dance with you. I wanted to kiss you. I wanted you to be in love with me. I... I wanted to be that someone."
