Y/n, Akaashi's twin sister. She's everything and nothing like her brother. After getting accidentally added to a group chat, she ends up making new friends. But when she has to move, it just so happens that she goes to her new friend's school. How w...
"Please make it stop," Bokuto said as he slammed his head on the kitchen table. Kuroo had his hands over his ears, trying to block out the sound.
"She's hit the lowest part of her sadness, what do you want her to do? Laugh and play poker?" Kuroo and Bokuto were annoyed since Y/n had been blasting sad music up in her brother's room all morning.
"I'm not listening to The Night We Met for another minute" "She's played this for 3 days straight. I can't take it anymore" "SHE PRACTICALLY GOT CHEATED ON WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!?"
Keiji heard a sniffle and turned around to see Y/n looking at all the boys in the kitchen. Her eyes were half-lidded and red while her face was puffy. You could see old tear stains on her cheeks
"Sorry..." Her voice couldn't even be considered a whisper. A cricket rubbing its legs together would be louder.
Keiji walked over to his sister and pulled her into a hug. "You have nothing to be sorry for" He glared back at the two sitting at the kitchen table. "If they're gonna complain, they can leave"
"Sorry Y/n" "Yea sorry Y/n" She pulled herself out of her brother's arms and went back upstairs just as the front door opened.
"Keiji! How was your-" The twin's mom took notice of the atmosphere. "What's wrong?" The three visiting boys looked at Keiji with wide eyes. "Nothing" The woman walked into the kitchen where her son was standing.
"It doesn't look like nothing dear. You all look so sad" She said as she looked at the other boys. "I-oh...Y/n." Her daughter had come back downstairs to get a cup of tea.
She looked at her mom with a sad expression but didn't say anything. "You look rough how-" Keiji looked at Kuroo and Bokuto and tipped his head in his sister's direction.
The two got up and Bokuto walked over to Y/n, picking her up and walking out the front door. "Thank you for having us. Unfortunately, we have to go." Kenma followed the two boys leaving Keiji and his mom alone.
As soon as the door closed she let out a disgusted shudder. "I didn't know she was back. But of course, looking like that I wouldn't-" "Mom...stop" "I'm simply stating that-"
Keiji started to get upset. He felt like every time he had tried to protect Y/n from his mom it never ended well because he always gave into her words.
"I said stop" His mother looked at him, shocked. "Keiji-" He walked towards the door but turned around at the last minute."She's been good enough all along. You just don't care to see it because she's not me."
When he got outside he slammed his hands against the railing. "Now what Akaashi?" He looked up at Bokuto. "Well...it's Friday and we have a week off. We can go back to Miyagi and stay there?"
"SLEEPOVER!" Bokuto pumped his fist in the air. "Is that okay Y/n?" She nodded without looking at any of the boys. "Ok so I'll go grab a bag and then we'll stop by everyone's house on the way"
After Keiji came back out with his bag the 5 got in the car and drove to Bokuto's house.
By the time they got there Y/n was already passed out in Kenma's lap, still wrapped up in a blanket like she was a burrito.
When they got to Kenma and Kuroo's houses Kenma told the Nekoma captain to go inside his house and grab some clothes so he didn't have to move and wake up Y/n.
~~~
Y/n woke up the next morning in her own bed, while the other four boys were laying on the floor. "You're up" She jumped slightly at her brother's voice.
She knew now that she was back home she needed to take the 6-year-old next door out to a movie and lunch. She wasn't going to break her promise. The girl sighed as she got up to go shower and get dressed.
Once dressed she saw the other boys were now awake. "Where are you headed?" She didn't answer and instead left her room, and her house to go next door.
Her emotions were so shot she didn't feel anything as she knocked on the door. It opened revealing Mrs. Sugawara. What a shock.
"You're back!" She tried to give Y/n a hug but she stepped back. "Oh, I'm sorry" Y/n gave her a forced sad smile and shrugged her shoulders. "I'm assuming you're here for Hiro, so I'll go get him."
She opened the door but Y/n didn't step inside. "He's at practice right now" Y/n's face was still expressionless but she chose to remain on the front porch.
"Y/N!!" Hiro came running outside and hugged her legs. "Here's his backpack. Call me if you two need anything" She said before she closed the door. The teenage girl slipped it on her back before looking back down at the young boy.
"Y/n! Y/n! Can you carry me?" "Spiderman doesn't make people carry him" "No but he swings on webs. So if you hold me I can shoot them!" His childish behavior made her laugh and she stuck her arms out to pick him up. "YAY"
She unlocked her car and the boys inside her house ran to look out the window. They watched as Y/n smiled while playing with a little boy.
"Movie or lunch first?" "LUNCH LUNCH LUNCH" "Ok" She set him down so she could go grab the booster seat from her trunk.
~~~
The two ended up going to a local pizza shop for lunch, and after went to see the new Spiderman movie.
"THAT ONE WAS SO COOL!" "Yea? Which one was your favorite?" "SPIDERMAN NOER" "Noir" The boy was jumping up and down and talking as he held Y/n's hand.
After the movie, the two went shopping for more gifts for the boy. One of her hands was full of birthday bags, while the other held onto Hiro's hand as they went back to the car.
Coach Ukai yawned as Hinata and Kageyama spouted random things at him. Hinata threw his arms up and turned around. Almost immediately he noticed Y/n's dark black hair, but he wasn't certain it was her. Especially since she was with a little boy.
He looked closer and smacked Kageyama's shoulder. "BOK-" "Is that Y/n?" All three boys squinted as they stared across the street.
The rest of the team caught up shortly after. "Can you guys not run so-" Kageyama cut off Daichi. "No way" "IT IS" Hinata yelled as he saw Y/n's face when she turned around.
"It is what?" Everyone followed their coaches and teammate's gaze across the street. "SHE'S BACK" "Not so loud idiot!"
She didn't seem to notice them but they saw her. They watched as she helped Hiro into the car and buckled him up, putting all the bags in the car too.
Their hearts hurt as her expression noticeably changed to a sadder one. She wiped a soft tear from her face as she got into the car.
"She looks so sad..."
