Hello. This book is at almost 600 reads. Onto to the story.
-------

You and Tom were unsure of your relationship. You couldn't deny your feelings for him and neither could he but there was one problem, he was married and had children.

It couldn't work out. You were only child and so were your parents. So, you never were around kids, you had no clue how to handle a child.

But today's different. Tom asked you to the studio with news. You were all giddy.

"Maybe he broke up with her. Maybe were getting together. Maybe we'll happily ever after. I'll try my hardest to raise a kid if it means being with my one, true love." You mumbled to yourself.

You stopped to look at the clock and ran out the door.

With all your thinking and mumbling, you were minutes late.

"Shit! Shit! " You exclaimed, as you barreled down to the studio.

You breathlessly slammed the door into the studio. Everyone looked up at the source of the noise.

You looked down, red faced with embarrassment.

"Hey, Y/N!" Tom warmly greeted, wrapping his arms around you.

"Hey." You meekly reply.

"Everyone! This is Y/N, my... " Tom paused, thinking. "She's my... "

"She's your lover." Mike joked, pulling a kissy face.

"Mike. You asshole. There a friend." Tom laughed.

You cringe laughed. "Did he have to say friend." You thought.

"Just stating a fact." Mike defended.

"Just. Shut up and play your bass." Tom shoved Mike towards the booth.

"Okay." Mike walked into the booth and got all set up.

He started to play the bass part of the song.

"He's good. I've never heard anyone play a bass before." You praised.

"He's okay." Tom disagreed.

You admired Mikes bass playing, while Tom stole glances to admire your face.

"Is that good? " Mike asked.

"Uhhh. Yeah." Tom said, awaking from his trance.

"Did you even hear me play?" Mike groaned.

"Yeah.." Tom fibbed.

"Okay." Mike said.

Tom soon got into the booth and put his headphones.

He started belting the song.

"From a table across the room
She was signaling me with her eyes
I walked over to be introduced
I said hello, she just smiled
And said I know a place not too far from here
Where we could get away for a while
Yeah, that's when she kissed me and told me her name
I never did tell her mine"

You stood there in amazement. It was even better than the bass playing.

"Magnolia
I remember the smell of the wind so sweet
Magnolia
And I know that she's out there somewhere in the world
She's forgotten me but I remember her
Magnolia"

Tom looked at you and smiled. Your heart fluttered.

"Well her lips were as warm
As that wet southern night
Her eyes were as black as the sky
And I wondered aloud
Just what I had done right
As I lay there with her by my side
Then she took hold my hand
As she looked up at me
And said now I must tell you goodbye
And there in the moonlight
As I watched her leave
I felt a chill down inside"

You stopped for a moment. This song sounded a bit too much like real life.

"Magnolia
I remember the smell of the wind so sweet
Magnolia
And I know that she's out there somewhere in the world
She's forgotten me but I remember her
Magnolia"

Tom finished off the song and took a breath. He came out smiling.

"So, how'd you like the song?" Tom asked you.

"Yeah. But is it about me?" You asked.

"Maybe." Tom sighed. "Okay! It is about you and that night we spent last summer and you left for a year to go to school." Tom screamed, frustrated with himself and you.

"Why?" You calmly asked.

"Because, I love you as more than a friend and we can be together. I just know it. We can be together." Tom sighed, glad he got it out.

"But, your wife and you have a daughter. I don't know how to take care of a child." You rambled.

"It's okay. I told I loved someone else. She said how long. I said since last summer and were separated. I still can see Aurora and Calliope. Besides you'll be a great mother." Tom reassured you.

"But..." Tom cut you off.

"I've missed those warm lips of yours." Tom smiled.

You blushed. The room soon erupted with whoops and hollers

"You finally got the girl." They all cheered.

"Yeah! I finally got the girl." Tom smiled.

You and Tom headed out after a few minutes.

"Do you love me? " You questioned.

"Of course! I love you more than John Lennon loves peace and that's a lot of love" Tom laughed.

"I love you too." You kissed Tom's lips.

"Let's continue this at my place. " Tom seduced.

Tom and you eagerly run to the car hand in hand.

Hello. I again  write most of this while on break at work and the rest on the way home from work. Work is fun but I hardly get time to write anymore and that's the one thing I really love. But I'm working on the Donovan request. Which may come out today or tomorrow. I'm not sure. But that is all. Goodbye and Thank You ✌🏼
