Chapter 18

"I've missed this." I whisper as me and Jaxon were snuggled together in bed.

"Me too." He kisses my forehead.

"I wish it could stay like this forever you know? Just you and me at eternal peace without having to worry about anything." My voice barely audible.

"When all this is over I promise I'll take you on the best vacation of your life." My eyebrows furrow in confusion.

"What's a vacation?"

Jaxon only chuckles and shakes his head in amusement.

"I guess there are some things I need to catch you up on." I nod.

"Probably."

Seconds later someone knocked on the door making me groan.

"Well the peace was fun while it lasted," I mumble,"Who is it?"

"It's me sunshine!" Hunter's voice rang from the other side.

"What's up?"

"The guru wants us to travel to the waterfall to practice our inner peace or some shit like that." I laugh.

"Sounds nice, we'll be right out." Jaxon sighs and gets out of bed.

"I'm going to use the bathroom real quick before we go, get dressed." He pecks my lips.

"Okay." He closes the door.

Letting out a shallow breath I change into my training attire for the day. When I was done brushing my hair I head out the door and down the hallway.

Might as well go find Kiara.

As I turned the corner I encounter a sight that my eyes weren't prepared for. Hunter had Kiara pinned against the wall, his lips attacking hers violently in what appeared to be a heated make out session.

After a few moments of awkwardness I clear my throat.

Once they acknowledge my presence they immediately pull apart.

"A-Aurora! H-How long have you been standing there?" Kiara stutters.

"Not long...I was looking for you actually." Hunter tries to stifle his laughter.

"Oh o-okay," She runs a hand through her hair,"We should go meet the others outside."

"Yeah." I smile.

"I guess I'll see you later." Hunter says.

"You're not going?" I ask him.

"Nah, waterfalls aren't my type of scene and besides, it's mostly for the newbies anyways." He tells me before sending Kiara a wink and walking away.

"Let's go." I follow her down the hallway.

When we arrived outside Koda and the other boys were waiting for us.

"Lovely that you can join us Aurora and Kiara. Today we will learn to master inner peace." Zach whines.

"That sounds so lame."

"On the contrary Zach, having inner peace is a key skill when defeating your opponent, by finding out their weaknesses." Jaxon smirks.

"He told you."

The gang starts walking down the stone path that led to our destination.

Me and Kiara walked side by side in complete silence.

I think apart of me knew that she was still uncomfortable from the whole situation that happened earlier. In all honesty I figured something was going on between them, I mean their constant teasing and bickering was a few hints.
